It's unfortunate for Irving, but shouldn't we sorta come to expect this now with him?

Yes this was kind of a freak accident, but that still falls under the umbrella of "injury-prone".  He's an amazing talent, but "injury-prone" is a part of the package with him.  Now granted I said the same thing about Stephen Curry in the first couple years of his career, and 4 years later, he's MVP.

So if he can stay healthy, he has the ability to put his imprint on the league, especially playing alongside Lebron.  But heck, the guy only played 10 games in his college career because of injuries.  Numerous injury problems in his first couple years so far in the league.  For now, this is who he is.

bballdog384, I'm giving you a TP just for having the Rondolope!

Cavs have been lucky and unlucky this whole postseason. Losing Love theoretically was awful, b/c he's a great player...except he's not in Cleveland, and Thompson has made the team much better overall. They got the Bulls with an injured Noah, an injured Gasol, and a recovering Rose. They got the Hawks vs. the Wiz, and the Hawks sans Korver. So...they've gotten a lot of breaks up to this point. Though this one...no way to see any silver lining here, unless JR Smith goes unconscious for an entire series. Unless the refs give James everything (they're off to a good start), I see no chance the Cavs can overcome this.

Unfortunate for Irving, if the Cavs can't get a W in either of the next two games I look for a hamstring injury to the King and sitting out game 4 of the sweep.

Wait....Don't you mean Leg Cramps--?

No need to get the sports car out of the garage and get it scratched unless he thinks that they might give him finals mvp  ;D

it sucks for Kyrie Irving, but I shed no tears for the Cavs

Everyone knows Kyrie Irving and Kevin love are injury prone....they miss games and get injured every single year...and what happened again? they got injured.

Kyrie is about the most likable young star in the league. This injury sucks major but-tocks. There will be no asterisk when the Oaklanders will win though.

NBA Finals over after a single game.

But it was a really entertaining game, at least.

I know we all don't won't Lebron to win and/or we want to see a young new face of the NBA win (Curry) but these injuries are a shame for everyone.

The finals are supposed to be the best against the best. We lost Perk in game 6 in our 2nd finals in 3 years but imagine if our first trip we lost Ray Allen in the first round and KG in game 1 of the finals, it would be a whole different game.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Characterizing Kevin Love's injury as the result of him being injury-prone is pretty ridiculous.
