They should play gilberts kid at  point guard.

Horrible news. Great first game. I would like to see some more great games.

Wow. Snakebitten.

I was totally rooting for the Warriors anyway, but I also feel sympathy for Cleveland fans, who haven't been able to celebrate a title in a dog's age. I also feel bad for Kyrie.

As Celtics fans, though, even though we've had much to celebrate over the years, we know what the injury bug feels like and we often wonder what could've been if it wasn't for things like:

1) Bias
2) Lewis
3) Bird's back
4) Bird's bone spurs
5) McHale's broken foot
6) KG's knee
7) Perk's knee
8 ) Rondo's elbow
9) Rondo's knee

If LeBron somehow, against all odds, leads Cleveland to a title this year, I'll have no problem and no hesitation calling him the best player ever (though I hope that doesn't happen).

It's too bad that we'll never get to see this great Warriors team actually truly challenged.  The Grizzlies will have been their toughest opponent.

The playoffs have been a disappointment this year because of all the injuries.

Wish "Shorten the regular season!" were a plausible proposition.

Disagree entirely. Injuries suck but they're part of the game. Doesn't diminish the Warriors in the slightest.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting the Warriors should have an asterisk next to the title or something, if and when they win it, they'll have absolutely earned it.

Doesn't change the fact that in all likelihood the trademark series of this post-season will have been in the 1st round, and none of the last three series will go longer than 5 games.  That's disappointing.

Certainly not a disappointment to the Warriors or their long-suffering fans, though.

By the way, let's not feel too bad for the Cavaliers.

They will be the favorite in the Eastern Conference next year, and probably every year as long as they have LeBron.  They'll be knocking on the door to the Finals again.  LeBron might make it to the Finals six, seven, or eight straight times.  There's no clear rival coming down the pike right now.

While the Celts are still trying to figure out how to get the right guys to make it past the first round, the Cavs will be winning 50+ games and dominating the East playoffs.  With some luck and the right supporting cast, LeBron will probably win at least one more title.  I'd bet on it.

Yup.....that's the hard cold facts ......last man standing is part of contact sports .  It's a Team sport , so it's up to the rest of the team to pull his weight or loose.

I feel sorry for Irving , he's a good dude .

But I do not feel sorry for Cav organization, owner .......they have had every break in the world fall their way .   What three lottery wins, James return ,   On and on.........

It's time for that good luck charm to fall out of their butt.......for a long whle.

I hope trading Wiggins for Love becomes the biggest BUST ....ever

Bummer.  Pretty impossible for LeBron to win now.  If he wins a title against this Golden State team (which some are saying might be a top 5 team of all-time), you might as well just give Jordan's belt to him.  Game over.

It would pretty much require 2012 ECF Game 6 LeBron for the next 6 games.  I say 6 because the Warriors would still manage to win at least another 2 times.

How bad is a broken knee cap long term?

How well do players recover from it?

Also, if there were any lingering questions before this, can we officially call Kyrie Irving injury-prone?
