The advantage for the Cavs is:

1. Lebron
2. Lebron
3. Other players besides Lebron

He's been to the Finals before and isn't afraid of the moment and is still the greatest NBA player right now. That alone gives Cavs a chance. If I was GSW. I'd much rather Lebron try and beat me on his own, than having guys like Shump, JR, or Dellavedova torch me. Is Kyrie healthy? That could be huge if he's not.

I say GSW in 6 games, mainly because I can't bring my self to say Lebron will win...lol.

It's because of LeBron - and only because of LeBron - that I've given the Cavs a legitimate shot at winning two games in this series.  He's really just that good.  The Cavs as a whole, however, are not in the same class as the Warriors.  The Cavs will lose the series, in my prediction in 6 games.

Golden State has only lost once at home in the playoffs.  I'm doubtful that the Cavs will be able to win even two games against GS at Oracle, which they're going to need to do since they're going to lose on their own home court at the very least once.

Advantages 1 and 2 seem pretty valuable, but I would be nervous about 3 if I was a Cavs fan.

Unless the "other players" are "the referees".
Not that I'm a conspiracy theorist or anything.

Windhorst just posted an article on ESPN doing a complete rundown on all the injuries Lebron has to deal with. I think I dislike Windhorst more than Lebron...my god  ::)

Windhorst is the ultimate LeBron lapdog.

Yup.  He's essentially Lebron PR.

You guys are being kind and classy.

I prefer to think of him as a jock-sniffing, sycophantic apologist.

But that's probably just me.

Well the mvp is Curry, so let's hope the nba has move on and won't favor (much) LeGros Lebron

I certainly do believe that the Cavs need Irving to stay with Golden State but if I assess this with the assumption that Irving plays about as well as he did in the last Atlanta game (22 min, 16 pts on 11 shots, 4 rebs, 5 assists) for the entire series, I think that will be huge.

The Cavs aren't going to outplay or outscore Curry/CThompson/Livingston with Irving/Smith/Shumpurt/Dellavedova but if you look at James/TThompson/Mozgov, that is quite a bit better than Barnes/Green/Bogut in my opinion.  Even just look at Thompson/Mozgov vs. Green/Bogut.  I don't see an edge there for GSW, or not enough of an edge to make a difference.  I think Green and Bogut have been talked up too much.  Green is a nice versatile player but I am not sure he is going to put up much better numbers than TThompson in this serious.

Iguodala does give GSW some depth that Cle can't match with Marion/Jones/etc but again, I don't think that is enough of an edge to decide a series.  The most lopsided match up is James over Barnes (considering position, I know they may not actually cover each other but officially, they are their team's respective starting SFs).

The problem for Cle is that Irving will probably not hold up for the whole series even if he gives them a spark to start.  Tough one to call (for the record, I am one of the ones that voted for Cle).

Interesting first game, though I think the Cavs may regret not being able to close it out.  That was a game they should have won and that is with Smith, Thompson, Shumpert, Jones, and Delly all playing pretty poor games on the whole (I know Thompson rebounded well, but didn't much else and Shump as always was good defensively but was pretty poor overall offensively).  They got more from Irving than they can probably expect going forward and Mozgov had a pretty solid game.  James scored a lot of points but took a lot of shots, good game not great game from him.  With all that on the road they had two shots to win at the end of regulation.

I was only able to catch the 3rd quarter. Lebron was going OFF. I remember all the times he did that in the big three era to win games so I'm glad GS pulled it off in OT.

That being said, prior to OT GS looked very vulnerable. I still think they'll win but I'm less confident after watching the first game.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

The Warriors guarded LeBron perfectly. He took lots of long, contested twos. Even though he went off, he kept taking them (hence his high # of field goal attempts). That came up huge down the stretch, as LeBron shied away from the 3pt line and wasn't going all the way to the hoop. The fadeways that he missed gave the Warriors tons of extra possessions. I'm willing ot bet that he can't keep that efficiency up for the whole series.

I think I accident.y voted for the cavs
I meant to pick warriors

Anyway I think it's close depending on how healthy klay and Kyrie are

I think warriors prevail in 6

Nobody is stopping Lebrun but you can slow him down with draymond and igloudala

If Kyrie is not healthy, curry should have an easy night
If Klay is not healthy then jr smith can potentially go off

Tristan Thompson shouldn't be as big of a factor here as draymond green is primarily a defensive player so he's defence on the PF spot shouldn't be as much of a factor as it had on Paul milsap
