Colton Iverson ready to show he can make the roster
Colton Iverson was a second round pick of the Celtics in 2013, he was a player who the Celtics did a draft and stash with him over in Europe.

The past two season he’s tried to make the roster, but has come up unsuccessful. This season, he’ll try once again. He comes in at a position that the Celtics need depth at, center.

In an article by Chris Forsberg over at ESPN Boston he wrote:

His scoring is down a tick from his first season overseas in Turkey last year, but he's been a more efficient scorer, shooting 60.2 percent from the floor. Synergy Sports' advanced data backs that up. Iverson grades out as one of the more efficient international players while averaging 1.037 points per possession this season (85th percentile among all international players). Iverson knows where his offense comes from: More than a third of his total plays finished have come in the pick-and-roll (34.5 percent), where he's shot 66.2 percent and averaged 1.196 points per play. Another 31.1 percent of his plays finished have come on putbacks.
Is the third time the charm for Iverson? Or will he be looking for a career in Europe? It’s too early to tell. He will play on the team's Summer League squad in both Utah and Las Vegas.

With the departure of Bass and Jerebko (potentially Wallace as well), he should have a good chance at showing he's capable of making the roster and staying if shown worthy of a roster spot.

That said, we have quite a few picks in this year's draft, so it'll be interesting to see how many roster spots they'll end up taking.

yup. Iverson will need to compete and try to make the team again.   Hopefully he has got stronger, better playing another season in Europe.

Strong kid but only has ok wingspan and reach (7'2 and 9'2).  Decent lift but needs time to gather.

This will be likely his last chance to make the NBA. Well at least with the Celtics squad

more than welcome him to try to make the team again and wish him the best.  not expecting him to make the cut though.  Zeller is world's better than Iverson and he's shown he's just a solid backup center.

He is at best third string.  ......that's being kind

If Wallace , Bass , GiGI are removed ,  he might have a chance ..

I agree it will ve his last shot with Celtics though

Happy to have him come over and replace Faverani. Colton Iverson looked like he would make a solid 3rd string center in the NBA during those summer league tours.

I like his physical toughness. Nice contrast to finesse based 7 footers like Olynyk and T.Zeller.

Baskonia fans are funny people. His "offensive show" includes scoring 5 baskets. All but one are broken plays and/or broken layups, and the one time he posted up he threw a horrible turnaround baby hook that will have no chance more often than not.

Sorry to be a party pooper again, but this video shows nothing. Especially, it doesn't show that he's a "nice contrast" to Olynyk and Zeller. Just because you have no skills doesn't mean you're physically tough.

Iverson ceiling is Koufus and likely turns out to be another Tyler Hansborough.  He brings little to the table outside of hustling , being physical, crashing boards

He could take on the role Shav did last season, but get to play some more mins vs big strong centers in the nba while Zeller, Sully get rests
