Thoughts? To quote, Hubie Brown,
sure seems like a logical thing to me.

Man I sure hope so.

Especially if we can land a couple all-stars, I would LOVE to have PP back coming off the bench and as a mentor!

This guy is still clutch even at his age.

I mean, look at that heavily contested 3 that didn't even count at the end of Game 6 against the Hawks...

Poor Paul... That shot in game 5 was epic.  He supposedly went in front of the hawks bench and shouted "series!"... Then horford makes a bucket and the Hawks win in 6.  Ouch.

If we can't get him, we should at least pay him to work with guys like Smart and Young (especially Young, lol ;D) in addition to our other draft picks from this year, and have him give us his evaluations of each guy, because, judging from an article I read about Demarre Carroll, Pierce seems to know talent when he sees it.  I know I've said this before, btw, so, sorry about that.

Would have to make a couple other free agent moves or trades for him to consider it. PP and IT could be a deadly bench combo.

Even though it was still in his hand, that shot reminded me so much of this one, and it's from the same spot on the court, too, including the fade.  Wow.

I don't think so.  He seems to really like his role on the Wizards, I think he'll pick up his option for 2015-16.

After that, who knows.  Maybe spend a year here, but more likely retirement
I'm bitter.

can't see it.  he's still much better than a vet min player and he's proven his value to the Wizards in the playoffs so I could see him staying there while he's still capable of playing well.  Don't see PP returning until he's ready to hang it up -- maybe 2 more years

Didn't he say next year will be his last?

Hahahah two points- what a potato technology back in the days!!

And I agree, that does look eerily similar to today's game. Ironically it's in Washington's house except he was opposing the Wizards. That is why I love the truth and why he's been my celtics forum picture for a while  ;D

He did say that.  He's still ballin' even at his advanced age though.  Maybe he'll reconsider.

I'd love to see him make another run with the Wizards.  I'll  be sorely disappointed if he isn't officially retired in a Celtics uniform though.

Just went on Bullets Forever and saw them saying "D.C. is a 100x better place than Boston...maybe Pierce will come back here as assistant coach?" had me laughing.

They can borrow Pierce as a player, but know this- his heart belongs to Boston. Wizards are lucky he won them Game 3, and apparently was able to come in the clutch in Games 5 and 6 but the Wizards couldn't do business themselves for closure. What I mean by closure: Not hustling for the rebound/defense in Game 5 and allowed Horford to put it in, and not hitting those free throws and turnovers late in Game 6.
