I'm just hoping the only reason they haven't interviewed Delon Wright is because he's not there or they are bringing him in for a work out given his projected range.
C'mon Danny!
That being said, Myles Turner is looking really good if we can move up to #11 or #12 to grab him.
There just aren't that many big man that can protect the rim and also hit the jumpshot on the pick and roll. He's going to get more comfortable in that enormous frame and his hips should loosen up.
I can't believe he's only 19 years old.
*He defends the pick and roll
*He runs the pick and roll
*He runs the pick and pop
*He defends the pick and pop
*7'4" Wingspan makes up for his lack of athleticism
*Has a fantastic IQ and willingness to pass out of the post
*He shoots the ball from 15 feet+ very well.
He's certainly a gamble but he's got the attitude and willingness to get better, along with the physical tools to be a great player on both ends.
I like the ideas of rolling the dice on both Turner and Upshaw. A massive front line that can shoot jumpshots and defend. If one of them works out we will be set for years to come.
I think you could probably have them as a starting duo in the playoffs, even though they'd be average/below average quickness at the PF and C spots, given how much the game slows down.
But yeah, very impressed with Turner and how much just one month of training at impact has helped his fluidity and mobility.
