Per Tristan Thompson, his playoff appearance has attracted enough attention that he can no longer be considered a second-tier.

We have to get to good players before they become famous, so it might be unwise to go after guys like Middleton and Thompson now - we are likely to have to pay the max or sthg near it.

Middleton will probably be $15 million and Biyombo close to $7 million. That's very expensive in today's NBA dollars but not out of line in future NBA dollars. Basically, this will be the future price of doing business in the league, like it or not.

With Middleton, I think he'll stay in the Bucks like Hayward last year in Utah.
Btw, my concern was not about the rise in salaries. This is a known issue.

  I agree that Middleton will likely stay put but still worth a shot. If I were Milwaukee, I would certainly keep him.
