Love rejoined the Cavaliers on Wednesday, after he had stayed away from Game 1. Boston Celtics forward Kelly Olynyk and his representatives have continued to deliver word to Love and people close to him that Olynyk wants to privately apologize to him, sources told Yahoo Sports. Olynyk wants to tell Love personally that he never intended to injure him in Game 4 of that series, that he's sorry for the shoulder surgery that'll cost Love six months.

Strangely, Love continues to rebuff Olynyk. He isn't interested in the call, refusing to ease Olynyk's guilt. For now, Love is a spectator to this Cavaliers playoff run, a player who is probably more missed on these Cavaliers now than he had ever been appreciated this season

Also in the article Woj is back to his strong dislike for Lebron  :)

The more I read about Love, the more he seems like a legit jerk and a selfish player. I don't want him on the Celtics, he's a perfect fit for the Lakers. All glamor, offense, and selfishness, not a team player, not a legit leader, or a defender or a gritty player, i.e. not a true Celtic.

I think we dodged a major bullet by not getting him this past summer. Him and Rondo together long term would have killed our future.

I don't blame Love. I mean Kelly did yank his arm out. I'd be pretty upset myself, now that my season is over.

Yeah the more and more than comes out the more and more he just seems like an entitled jerk. He seems like a me, me, me, guy. I would have a hard time rooting for him in Boston.

I think I'm with Love on this one.  I mean he clearly knows KO is sorry or he won't believe him if they talk - so there is nothing gained in a meeting.  Well nothing gained except to make KO feel better, but why would Love (or anyone for that matter) care about that.  Maybe Love wants KO to feel bad so he doesn't do that crap again.  Maybe he wants KO to feel bad because he is p---ed he is missing his first playoffs.  KO seems like a desperate ex trying to make himself look and feel better.  Just quit calling man.

It was his first time in the playoffs, and it ended just over 3 games in because his shoulder was injured enough to require surgery and a lengthy rehab.  Every day for the next 4-6 months he'll be reminded of Olynyk, in not a positive light.  I don't blame him, same as I'd hope Rondo wouldn't have taken a phone call from Wade in 2011.

olynyk is going about this all wrong
theres no point of a private meeting

he already apologized in public after the game and stated that it was not intentional
chances are love has already seen that
and judging by his response - he is not accepting it
unless olynyk was already friends with love prior
there is no point trying to apologize privately

Other than being a good human being? Kelly apologized in a public spot light. Then Kevin Love had a serious problem with it still. The right thing to do is be a little more personable and try to fix things. I don't see a problem with trying to reach out to him privately.

Sounds like he wants Kelly to feel bad about the situation as payback, got to be a frustrating injury. Kind of childish, but what are you gonna do.

No big deal either way. I don't mind when players hold grudges.

fix things.  They have no reason at all to communicate.  Why do they need to fix things?  That is just silly.  NOw if they were teammates, this would be a huge problem, but a guy from an opposing team, give me a break.

If Love goes to the Lakers or New York or stays in Cleveland because that's what he was going to do all along then then I'll have no qualms with him.

If he so much as hints in passive aggressive comments to the media that he stopped considering Boston because of the Olynyk situation then I'll be right there with you all that think he's an entitled, spoiled child. You don't give up a decade of good basketball in our historic market because Kelly hurt you and your the last person on Earth to believe it was intentional.

Nothing wrong with Love's choice here, but these types of petty comments/actions are piling up over his career. I used to think it was just the Minnesota environment.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner!  Nothing wrong with a private apology to show he's genuinely sorry.  A public apology is for PR.  A private one is for real.
