I think Ainge is higher on Smart than anyone else we have, and rightly so. To me, if he's on the table than a whole lot else comes off. Just like JPotter said, kid has a ceiling of a multiple time All-Star and DPOY candidate. I think if he's involved, the Brooklyn picks aren't.
That said, I would dump two of our three Brooklyn picks, and at least Young+ Sully/KO. Even if they're being forced to trade him, you can ask for Smart but your probably not going to get him, so you'll settle for a couple picks that could range from 5-18 (Brooklyn) one that can range from 10-20 or so (Dallas), #16 this year, and a couple young guys with good potential (Sullinger, Young). Maybe an extra second rounder or two to sweeten it.
But still, if I'm Sacto, I'm more interested in a package like that than one that gets me a single #3 or 4 pick, Tim Hardaway Jr and a pick two years from now that's not likely to be above 20. Much more value in what we can give.
If you think that's too many picks, we can take on the Landry deal or one of their other bad contracts. That might save us something. Don't discount a guy like IT pushing Cousins to force his way here either. Ainge has more leverage if DMC tells the Kings "I want to go to Boston".
