This will not shock anyone, not even the Liberty Ballers.

Wonder if any of the voters cared if he was on the best team or one of the worse... #Harden2015NBAMVP

Mirotic finished distant second and Noels an even more distant third, Payton 4th and Smart 5th, Clarkson 6th and Nurik 7th as the only other players receiving votes.

So, I think it's inevitable that this now comes up:

Payton, Smart, Clarkson.

Who has the best PG: ORL, BOS, LAL?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Smart, he can shoot the three and in today's NBA guards like Payton who can't shoot are huge liabilities in the playoffs vs savvy defensive teams.

From watching a lot of T-Wolves games this season, I would say he certainly deserves it.

He had some explosive scoring games, as well as showing development in just about all areas as the season progressed. He has no major flaws, and has the athletic ability to improve in all facets of the game. No, his production didn't result in many wins, but that team is not put together well, and is bereft of established talent.

Kid is going to be really, really, good.

I wish he were on the C's!

He totally deserved it, wonder how the Cavs feel about it now and MIN might be able to get Towns to play with him.

yeah but you gotta give respect to Clarkson, I think he's the real best PG from this draft. kid can FLAT OUT SCORE! and we are in that era where PGs have to score, or else theyre deemed bad (see rondo, rajon).

I admit to not having watched him a lot, but I have seen Wiggins and the T-Wolves play a couple of times.

I'm still not convinced that he'll turn into a top level superstar in the league.  From my vantage point, the main thing holding him back at this point is top level handles and ability to be a creator in the lane.

I feel like he gets a lot of his points in the mid-range area and the high post up area.  I think he's a nice shooter, obviously a great athlete, and he has a scorer's mentality.  I still feel that to reach that next level, though, he needs to be able to really break people down off the dribble and create.

Time will tell if this is something he can develop.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

All this ROY doesn't really mean anything except for Wiggins of course that is way above the others.
The other rookies, well, it all depends of what role they had during the season.
It's easy to develop your offensive skills in LA when there was obviously no plan to really improve as a team. Unlike in Boston, where Stevens really wanted to start winning and define specific role to each player. Nobody deviates from their plan, and I believe Smart never heard "go ahead, shoot the ball or go in the paint".
Let's wait 3 years and look back who was the best rookies of this talented 2014 draft.

I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years, the best of this class would be Wiggins, followed by Parker. I think both will eventually become perennial all-stars. Embiid would likely be up there too, unless his injuries define his career ala Oden.

After those three (or two), I think it'd be a toss up. We haven't seen much of Randle, Exum has yet to grow into his role, and Smart has shown a bunch of bright spots but nothing consistent so far. Mirotic is good but I think he's already near his ceiling. Same goes for EP, actually.
