Who is a better rebounder?

Who is a better player?

Who would you rather have?

That’s a tough one, I am disappointed with Sullinger production since he came back from the injury. And there is the ongoing weight issues.
BUT I haven’t seen Thompson outside of the playoffs. based on that alone  I would go with Thompson.

I'd give the edge to Thompson as a rebounder, but offensively its Sullinger by a long shot. That being said, I'd take Thompson because he just seems like another player that will always play as hard as he can. He's super energetic, he fights for rebounds and since he's more athletic he can contest and block shots better.

They probably have the same amount of talent , but sully's weight and injury history make Thompson a more valuable asset.

I want no part of paying Thompson what he's going to end up getting paid. I think Sully will end up being cheaper and better value per dollar, which is what you want in a role player.

If Sullinger is able to lose the weight I'd rather have him especially at his cap number compared to what Thompson thinks he's worth (he turned down a big offer from the cavs)
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

They're both ideally suited to be somewhere in the 4 to 7 range of a rotation.  Thompson's skills are better for that role.

I rather have Thompson. His impact has been felt vs Sullinger. TT is an elite offensive rebounder.

Thompson's getting more minutes to make an impact.  when Sully's on the floor, Thompson's not making as much of an impact as when Zeller's out there not boxing out

Sully is the more talented player. Doesn't mean he'll have a better career, but Thompson is a high-energy rebounder and that's about it. He doesn't block shots or shoot a very high percentage for a 12 points in 32 minutes big man. Basically a good rebounder without any big flaws or other strengths.

In draft talk terms, Sully has the higher upside, but Thompson is a nice young player in his own right, and possibly more valuable today. If I'm building a team, I'd take the risk with Sully, if I'm the Cavs I'm happy to have Thompson filling a role.

Good post. Sully's body has improved since he was away.  I want to see how he looks for next season

Thompson low talent , one trick pogo stick ,   Sully is miles ahead skills wise .

Thompson is also playing with a ton of vets and a All a Star players ......he just does his one thing and looks great , same with Moscow .....he seems better playing along side LeBron .

LeBron , Duncan , Durrant .....the few true greats always make the other better.

Rather have Sully anyday.

Be nice if it was true, but Thompson can run the floor and move.  Sully looks like he has made some slight progress but he has a ways to go.   All the skill in the world is worth nothing if sqaundered.

If Sullinger became and average 3 point shooter and got better conditioned he would be a much better player than Thompson. I think we should give him one more chance this year.

Sullinger should not shoot 3 pointers, or any mid range shots.  A guy built like that should live in the paint.  I get the idea of the stretch 4 or 5 or whatever, but it is not something he should be doing IMO.  I bet people hate playing against him underneath, so - why not shove that down the other teams through endlessly when he's on the floor.  It just seems a waist when he shoots a 3.  It goes in sometimes, but I just don't get the strategy of it.  Because he does shoot it, I would take Thompson, or any other solid rebounder, who does not feel compelled to shoot threes.
