This whole series just showed us how badly we need rebounders, we have given up so many second chance points because we have no rebounders. We have NO STARS, yet we're still in these games and honestly we have consistently kept it close, but rebounding and having a serious inside presence is a MUST. Imagine Stevens with a defensive big who can anchor a defense....i'm getting excited just thinking about that.

Tough to play small and spread the floor and still rebound well.

The Celts lack legitimate size and length to dominate the boards.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

C's big men are physically and athletically over-matched.

Sully is the only one who can rebound his position at a plus rate.

I agree that Stevens could do a lot more with a defensive big, but he has to take a lot of the responsibility for the rebounding issues at the end tonight.

They were going to LeBron in isolation for the whole fourth quarter.  How do you explain not playing Sullinger in this situation?  It was made for him to just park himself in the paint next to Thompson and battle for the rebound.

Rebounding starts by getting your ass on a player and boxing out. No bigs get this done especially Zeller who showed again tonight he is a backup at best..

Call Rodman and have him give a clinic before game 4

Yup.  This is the issue with targeting so many undersized overachieving bigs.  These guys are skilled but they don't have a physical advantage versus practically anybody.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
We are a few offensive rebounds away from making a difference. We are outmatched by the Cleveland bigs, despite the effort.

It should be the biggest focus on draft night/free agency. We have seen where this team of role players can take us, we just need a guy who can clean up the glass.

2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

Yeah, I guess this makes me re-think that they're showcasing Sully for a trade this offseason - if that were the case, he would have gotten a lot more minutes, especially at a time that really made sense.

Will be on the sign DeAndre Jordan at all costs bandwagon for the foreseeable future.

I never was on this bandwagon because I hate giving so much to a limited offensive player but watching the C's losing every crucial rebound in this series has me thinking.

Rebounding and defense wins championships. This team currently lacks both. They are entertaining but just overmatched on the boards and with their bigs playing so soft defensively. Olynyk, Zeller, and Bass have been so soft they're ready to be given new Care Bear names.

Kevin Love can clean the glass.

Yeah.  Have a feeling only one of these guys, at most, is gonna stick.  Tough to build a frontcourt with so little physical presence.
