Love is a Laker next season

Love, Rondo, Kobe, Randle and first round pick, unless they are not in top 5, right?  If they end up with Towns, that would be a pretty good team.

Signing Love to a max contract would be a huge mistake so I will gladly pass, thank you.
False, with the cap escalation I think a max deal would be about right for Love now if you are talking about offering that deal in two years with the new cap then yes big time overpay.

I could see him leaving just based on how diminished his role is in Cleveland (other than the fact that it's Cleveland of course hah).. but this year said a lot about him. His talent took a backseat to Irving and Lebron. He's only put up big numbers on losing Wolves teams. If he's the man here, would we be a contender? If we signed him we'd need to get a real big like Jordan to cover up his defense.

Brad Stevens would make Love look like an MVP candidate.

Sign Love and Jordan. Somehow get up to 5 or 6 and draft Winslow...

Well, we can dream at least :)
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

I don't understand the blind confidence in this. By everything I have ever read written about the guy he is pretty quirky and introverted and likes to do his own thing. If anything, that would make him really unpredictable. How can we so confidently assume we know what he wants to do? I think he could do just about anything (besides go back to Minnesota)

1.  He's said he wants to stay in Cleveland;

2.  Woj reported that Love / his agent made a commitment to extend in Cleveland before the season;

3.  Cleveland can offer the most money; and

4.  Cleveland offers the best shot at winning.

I don't think that it's "blind" confidence.

Does every post you make have to be snarky ?

I really do my best to make the snark level fit the content of the original post. :)

That's a solid lineup.  Plus they have Jordan Clarkson... who a lot of experts ranked higher than Marcus Smart in the rookie rankings this year.  Clarkson is 6'5... maybe he can Rondo can start together if Kobe's health never improves.

Pretty much this.

Also, a Love/Rondo/Kobe Lakers team is still a non-playoff team next year, even with their top 5 pick.

Smart looks great tonight so far tho.

Also how do you view Jordan Clarkson ie what do you think he projects as?
star, starter (high level or low level), 6th man, key roll player, peripheral role player etc.
