Would Cavs keep Love?

There has been a lot of talk about whether Love would want to stay with Cavs or go elsewhere.
But I also wonder if Cavs may consider not pursuing him (he has a player option but maybe Cavs let him know he is not in their plans). Love has not played as expected so far and perhaps don’t work well with Blatt’s system. Cavs may want to use Love’s salary on another superstar, and they should be able to recruit top guys easily.

Love isn't leaving, lets be honest... This is Kyrie's team, but Love/Kyrie with LBJ, who may be passing his prime, is still a top 3 contender in the East.

2.  Opt out of his deal.  Sign as a free agent somewhere to a current max deal with an opt out after two years, or maybe one, so he can sign a new max deal under the higher salary cap.

3.  Stay in Cleveland.

If he's got the stones, #2 is the way to go.  He can pick his team, be "The Man", still get just about all the money and flip off LeBron and Kyrie on his way out the door.

Lol none of us have any idea what Kevin Love is thinking. Of course if he has negative feelings he is not going to air them out in the middle of a successful playoff run that would be utterly ridiculous. Every player in the history of sports has pretty much said I am here to win the title if you asked them about their offseason in the middle of a playoff run. Heck even Rondo would probably say the same thing right now if someone got a microphone in front of him.  Maybe he is unhappy, maybe he is happy. Who knows. I have idea how you can be so confident you do know.

I don't see any evidence that Love is as much of a Beta-male as Chris Bosh and will be content to spend the prime of his career playing third wheel to LeBron and Kyrie.  If you check the stats, he's the only one of three really making a big sacrifice in Cleveland.

-Even when he doesnt touch the ball, His ability to space the floor pulls bigs out of the paint giving Kyrie and Lebron room to attack
-He is their best rebounder.
-You can run plays through him once in a while.
-He is a great passer.
-HE can abuse he can abuse favourable matchups downlow.
- He is a threat to go for 30 on any given night

 Again why would they want to make him feel unwanted and which stretch 4 could they get that gives them all the attributes I just listed?

Yeah and for all this talk of calling Bosh a Beta male, he was a part of a Historic 27 win streak team, made 4 str8 NBA Finals and won 2 Titles. Really think Love woudnt trade his big Stats on Lottery for 4 Finals appearances and 2 str8 rings!!!

The last part is a pretty big exaggeration. He reached 30 points one game this entire season. He actually only had over 20 points 4 times in March and April combined. He is a good player, and could get those stats on another team, but they are not happening in Cleveland.

The sad thing is the Cavs would have had a much better chance of making 4 straight finals if they had kept Wiggins. They really shortened their window with that trade. Wiggins could have defended some teams best players some times if not next year, the year after. He also could have helped ease the scoring load as Lebron ages. And your point is? Like I said he has spent all his career getting stats!! HE is now more interested in winning titles!! Not much else to say

From the Cavs perspective they don't have any real option other than to sign him.  He's not an ideal fit, but their sign-and-trade options are limited, and they don't have the cap space to sign a replacement if he leaves outright.

Yeah this is nonsense. What makes you think  Wiggins would have had the impact he is having in Minny on the Cavs??? Cavs already have ball dominant perimeter players. Wiggins would have to be in the catch and shoot Jr Smith role. He would never have the ball enough to grow the way he is now. Just because he is putting up numbers while losing by 30 a game doesnt mean he is ready for Playoff/Championship bball

Again he is a rookie. He wouldnt be ready for Title expectations at least another 3-4  yrs. Meanwhile the last few yrs of Lebrons prime would be wasting away. Cavs wanna win now. Love wants to win now. Wiggins was just a rookie. It was a win win trade
