So I guess Riley took a shot at Lebron in the last few days saying something along the lines of there was no secret smiling faces this offseason. Windhorst did not appreciate that comment... at all... writing a front page story for ESPN on how

1) Riley is just like Lebron
2) Lebron did nothing wrong and Riley should have seen it coming.

I probably don't even really disagree with the main points, but it does feel weird to have the feeling the you are reading a fan writing an article for Lebron rather than a writer for a national sports news entertainment site. Should this be on bleacher report

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/12733784/does-pat-riley-get-lebron

Compared to Jackie Macs piece on Pierce and it is a very different feel. Thoughts?

I haven't read it yet, but I thought that Riley's comment was asinine, like so many things that come out of his mouth.

Riley has really shown himself to be a whiny baby.

Riley is a baby, and Windhorst is a LeBron lapdog. There are no winners in this matchup.

Some interesting stuff in there.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Riley still in mourning that his meal ticket to catch Phil Jackson's ring total disappeared like a thief in the night, Miami should be thankfully there is a Stepien rule in place otherwise he would totally screw them over in his failed pursuit of it.
Good times

Riley, like Phil, is a poser that were gifted stacked teams with meager competition during their title runs. Let's see the almighty Miami Heat continue to win without LeBron, I'm sure overpaid Bosh and glass knees Wade are raising banner #4 in Miami lol! This is the same guy that faxed his resignation to the Knicks. Lovin' the Heat miss the playoffs and us being in there (though for a short stint IMO), maybe he can whine some more when they possibly lose their pick to Philly in the draft hahaha! And fatboy Windhorst is the biggest LeBron tool-hugger through the media world, so no surprise there.

Windhorst is LeBrons mouth piece. Riley however will never have a problem getting top free agents to Miami. Weather is beautiful year round. No state taxes. Beautiful women. He has a good roster too the issue was that Bosh was out half the year. Much rather be where the Heat are then Boston is that's for sure. Upgrade Deng and they'll contend for the East again.

I think the biggest knock on MIA is their fans.    They are horrible and leave if they are behind in a game at the end.   They do not even stay in the playoffs.  They might have a few die hard but that arena is full of fair weather (literally) fans.

Sadly, that is not an isolated incident.  I bet the players loved that support.

I see what you did there, lol. ;D TP.  As for the 'article' ::) itself, meh.  I hate Pat Riley and have never been a fan of Wind bag, either, but if South Park is going to criticize Riley's comments towards Lebron, can he at least make sure that he does it properly, lol? ;D This passage is what I'm talking about -

Quote
Riley's career defined it. He made a name for himself as a coach thanks to an incredible opportunity to steer a loaded Magic Johnson-led roster as his first NBA job. Then he bolted the Lakers when a prime broadcasting job opened up at NBC.

Um, Brian, he didn't just up and leave the Lakers, who had the best record in the league that year before losing to the Suns in 5 games in the second round.  No one in their right mind would leave such a position of their own accord.  He didn't 'bolt' nor did he leave - he was fired, after the players finally tuned him out.  89-90 to the Lakers was like 82-83 to the Celtics, as Riley became ever more controlling, crazy, and egotistical, and finally, everyone had had enough of his crap.  That's what happened.  Sigh.

Btw, who would ever hire Pat Riley as a motivational speaker, lol? ;D Wow.  He's nuts.
