Seriously, how was that not a goal tend call?  If it wasn't, then it wasn't - but, it was like everyone watching and everyone in the arena knew 100% that it was an obvious goal tend, but because it was Cry Baby James, they had to let it go for some reason and make the whole game look fake as a result.  Even the announcers picked it out, right away and didn't understand how it wasn't an obvious goal tend.  Does anyone really believe letting things like that happen in NBA games doesn't affect the outcome of the games?  If it wasn't a goal tend, or was in any way plausable for a ref to mis that call, please do fill me it.

I also don't get why James is allowed to commit an offensive foul and push off 100% of the time when he drives to the basket.  It is a foul every time.  I think this is when your coach needs to take a technical and not let it go.  It is a strategy to call attention to things like that goal tend not being called, and the refs have to sort of play it a little more straight after attention is drawn to it.  That not being called changed the whole game and Stevens should have taken a strategic T right there.

Are context and introductions really not important in cb anymore?
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

That play was very, very close.  The ball was right at the top of the arc.  Personally, I didn't think it had started on it's downward trajectory yet.

I was with the refs on that one.  It looked like a clean block to me.

There were a few bad calls.  Probably the one that bothered me the most was the "charge" on KO, because that was Kelly's third foul and forced him to sit out the rest of the half.

The Goal Tend was by no means a "close call".

The Ball was ABOVE the cylinder.  Doesnt matter if it's going up or down, if it's above the cylinder you can't touch it.

I just watched the replay a few times.  You're probably right that it was over the cylinder, but I didn't see anything conclusive from the angles I saw.  I still maintain that it was a really close call.

If you watched the game it is sort of implied.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Well, I can't forget what "superstars" like Kobe and LeBroid are treated like at the biggest stage. It may be older, but for me it all started with MJ, so the NBA is taking care of its "golden goose" at any ocasion. Remember game 7 of the 2010 Finals and game 2 of the 2012 ECF and you'll get the answer.

MJ was spoiled by the refs, they let him use his off arm to push the defender, but LeBroid gets the complete treatment: crab dribbling, push with the off arm, no calls when he bulldozes over people... disgusting. They guy is talented, he's a physical beast, but he's the most annoying thing to watch on a basketball court, whining and asking for "king special pass" on every play. He has no right to complain and yet he's crying at every opportunity. Dirty Wade is dirty, and I hate the guy, but LeBroid is just obnoxious.

This is another side of the learning experience for our kids. Hopefully they can get over officiating and play hard the rest of the way. Go Celtics!

The queen gets away with everything. It's been this way for years. First 2 mins of the game it took at least 7 swipes by LBJ on Turner before a reach in foul was finally called I was yelling "reach in!" at the TV...and the brat still had the nerve to cry about it. But hey it makes sense, can't let Lebron foul out or ratings go down... every year continually proves how tainted his "legacy" is.
