NBA Playoffs Season 2014-2015

I really don't mean to bash on Green, but Memphis experienced first hand the disappointment that is Jeff Green.  Of every game I've watched him Boston, he just isn't a winning type of player.

I think Memphis aside from the playoff performance is pretty happy with Green.

Maybe.  But they sure as heck didn't get Green simply to improve their regular season record.

Round of applause for Memphis. They have been fantastic this season. No shame in losing Golden State. They were worthy winners. I hope Memphis can keep this team together. They were 2nd best team in the playoffs this season. Unfortunately they just ran into the #1 team in the 2nd round and went out much earlier than their talent deserves.

I hope they realize how good they are. How close they are to a title. And keep this team together.

I see the opposite. I see a treadmill team with little to no offensive weapons on the wing. They are a middle of the road team in the West at best in my eyes. GS, OKC, and LAC are all better overall.

Clowns = Houston (Harden and Dwight)
Crybabies = Cleveland (just look at LeBron and Kevin Love)
Floppers = Clippers (CP3 and Blake)
Overraters = Atlanta (pssshhh they should've dismantled Brooklyn if they were the 1st seed imo, but stood close contests against a Wall-less/ful Wizards)

I'm very happy for the Hawks.  They haven't played great so far this post-season, but they are a scrappy bunch who looked like they were starting to put it together in stretches in this closeout game.

There's obviously a lot riding on Demarre Carrol's performance against Lebron in the ECF.  Luckily they've got Kent Bazemore on the bench, who I also think can be a good defender against James.

Another plus for Demarre is how well he moves off the ball.  He should be able to give Lebron fits defensively.  If there's one flaw left in the King's defense, it's falling asleep on cutters.

What I love most about Dennis Schroder is that I think he forces Teague to be more aggressive.  The thing about Dennis is that even when he stinks it up a bit, forcing poor shots or committing bad turnovers, he rarely lets the defense rest.  He's always going full tilt.  This seems to rub off on Jeff.

I like Atlanta's chances.

There's obviously a lot riding on Demarre Carrol's performance against Lebron in the ECF.  Luckily they've got Kent Bazemore on the bench, who I also think can be a good defender against James.

I think Bazemore is too small to defend LeBron. A skinny 6-5. It's a shame Thabo Sefolosha got that strange injury right before the playoffs. He was their only other wing defender with size outside of Carroll.

Yeah, I honestly can't say I follow that logic about being happy with his regular season performance. Memphis has always been a great regular season team; they're looking to finally break through in the playoffs and Jeff Green did a terrible job of helping them achieve that throughout two series.

It's funny, though: Memphis is looking for a guy exactly like the player they traded away in Rudy Gay. I know the complex personality dynamics probably made it difficult to change the gameplan, but if they'd gotten him to buy into being a release valve for Gasol/Z-Bo, they'd be in much better shape. Instead, they've had to rely on the decaying corpse of Tayshaun Prince and the wholly underwhelming Jeff Green.

At this point of his career, I don't understand why JG isn't more productive. It must be in his head or he simply doesn't put the necessary effort to do so.
I'm disappointed, I like JG a lot and always thought he would be an all star one day. I guess I was wrong.

Five years running that they've come up short with only one trip past the second round, that being the year Westbrook got injured in the playoffs.  Their window is closing with their aging frontcourt.

I honestly can't share your optimism. They've lost in the first round, lost in the second round, got swept in the conference finals, lost in the first round, and lost in the second round again. That implies stagnation more so than any room for improvement. Without shaking that team up, five years of evidence suggests they're not going to be better next season.
