It will be interesting to see what happens to this team this summer. Thibs is gone for sure, but what pieces are they looking to move to upgrade? Will they max out Butler knowing that it will eat up most of their flexibility? How much longer can they realistically go with a 35 year old Gasol, a seemingly rapidly-declining Noah, an increasingly average pg in Rose who is getting paid $19M or so, and a brand new system when Thibs is gone?

I would hope they'd try to blow it up, but I don't see that happening.

Saying goodbye to D-Rose is the key decision.

I agree, but how do you do that?  He's got to have negative trade value at this point, right?

While I don't think he's nearly that bad, he's never been a point guard, and he can't stop getting hurt.  Phoenix would probably be the best place for him, medically, even though he doesn't fit there.  I don't know what you do with him, quite honestly.  What team would be a good place for him?  Trade him to Miami, lol ;D. We could take bets on who would miss more time - Rose or Wade, ahaha ;D.

Bulls fans dumping all over Thibs.  Want him gone.  Can't say I blame them after such a shameful display of basketball in this series.

I'd welcome Thibs back as an assistant coach on the C's for defense.  But I imagine he'll get a head coach gig elsewhere.  Maybe in New Orleans, where he'll run Anthony Davis into the ground for 45 minutes a game.

I guess

It's gonna be

Diva vs Doc show ......oh boy  ::)

Warriors/Clippers is a toss up.

I'm not getting my hopes up .......but the Cavs are dangerous long as James is breathing and playing out on the court.

You look at that Cavs team , and you'd think they could be beat......with all the injuries.

Curry getting a title would be cool,

But I would still put any team left as under dog ...long as LeBron is playing.

Saying goodbye to D-Rose is the key decision.

I think they'll pass the buck and blame other people instead. Hold back their retooling process by a few years and probably waste the tail end of Noah's best years. Screw up the next few years of Jimmy Butler's career which will probably lead to a Butler trade demand towards the end of this big contract he's about to sign this summer.

Pau needs to be moved to a bench role. First big decision for new head coach.

As key of a decision D-Rose is, I think Noah is just as big.  Noah is 30, but he's an oooold 30.  And he's regressed massively on the offensive end under Thibs.  His only saving grace is if the new coach can help gain back an offensive game while doing a lot better job managing his minutes.  He's no longer a 35 minute a game player

I think your correct

The Bulls are a lot closer to blowing it up ......than people think

Rose is about half the player he was

Noah .....seems old and tired

They probably should unload those mega contracts

Don't forget about how he burned out Luol Deng, either.  Thibs is like the defensive-savant version of KC Jones, imo.  I'd never want him as a head coach.  As an assistant, yes, but not as the head coach.  He's so offensively inept and he runs his players into the ground.  No thank you.

I don't see the Cavs winning anything this season. The East is just that bad. Way too many teams that can't score consistently.

Jimmy Butler looks like a legit superstar.  In the regular season, he was great offensively, but his defense slipped.  He's been great on both ends in this series.
I was just gonna say, I hope Ainge goes after this guy. Love his attitude and play.

He's got a terrible injury history, and he shot 40.5% from the field this year (after shooting 35.4% in an injury-shortened season last year).  He averaged 4.9 assists per game, compared to 3.2 turnovers.  He's owed $41.5 million over the next two years.

What team sees all of that, and decides to give up a positive trade asset?

I agree maybe he ....wants out......with the demise of the Bulls at hand ......I think Rose is going to be history too.

Maybe Jimmie wants to start over new and be the man for another city.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lebron made a pitch for him to be Cleveland's defensive guru.
