Exactly why change is coming.  Whether it's the coach, or a major piece on the roster, or both...SOMETHING has to change.  This team has clearly peaked.

While I've said from game 1 that the Bulls have the better roster and should win this series, pains me to do it, but gotta give credit where it's due...

The Cavs supporting cast tonight has been phenomenal.  You'd think a Cavs team with no more Love for the rest of the playoffs and a clearly ailing Irving to the point where he's not even playing, that the Bulls should run away with this.

Now part of it is just terrible play by the Bulls, but the Cavs supporting cast is having their best game of the playoffs.  Picked quite a good time to have it.

This would be huge for Cleveland. Do not want to go into a Game 7 if Kyrie is not able to play.

Are the Bulls even capable of making more than one pass per possession on the offensive end?  Pathetic.

Didn't Thibs turn down the offer from upper management to bring in an offensive-minded assistant coach?

I used to think he was a top 3 coach...the more I think about it, he may have to be dropped down to a top 10, which is still pretty good.

But the guy is clearly subpar when it comes to coaching offense, and managing minutes I think is a real problem he has.  He runs his players into the ground, continuing to play ailing starters when up by 40pts.  If he put his ego aside for a season and actually brought in an offensive-minded coach to help him, like a D'Antoni, or luring Alvin Gentry away from Golden State, then I think you could REALLY have something there.

It will be interesting to see what happens to this team this summer. Thibs is gone for sure, but what pieces are they looking to move to upgrade? Will they max out Butler knowing that it will eat up most of their flexibility? How much longer can they realistically go with a 35 year old Gasol, a seemingly rapidly-declining Noah, an increasingly average pg in Rose who is getting paid $19M or so, and a brand new system when Thibs is gone?

I would hope they'd try to blow it up, but I don't see that happening.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.
