As much as I hate to see Rondo (and DAL) struggle, I'll always remember the good times in Green.
He didn't seem to have many detractors on here during the good times.
It is funny (and appalling) how we can turn on a player once he leaves. I thought that if you played great as a Celtic - even if it was for 2-3 years - that was enough to win some hearts.
When the ship starts to sink....or even list...we are quick to abandon ship. But then the captain will say "It's just a storm....why are you panicking?"
The storm will pass with Rondo. The book isn't closed on him, even though he's in a new chapter of his life right now.
The good times (and yes - even the most ardent Anti-Rondo fans on here must say there were more good times than bad) far outweighed the bad. And that fact for me alone allows me to look at his ENTIRE situation in DAL before I throw him under the Texas Bus.
Maybe this is like when Dennis Johnson was labeled as a malcontent and shipped to Phoenix before Red got him for nothing, lol.

DJ was also 29 when he arrived in Boston, and if there's one guy who is loving the fact that Rondo's value on the free agent market is seemingly dropping, it would be Larry Bird, imo, who has always been a big fan of RR. We'll see what happens, but the Pacers are in the lottery this year and will likely wind up with the 11th pick, so if Larry drafts well and takes someone like Jerian Grant as well as getting Rondo, the Pacers could be set up for a long run as a contender, imo.
