Dirk.....was building a brick house out here ...if he doesn't get 30 ...I don't see how Mavs win.....they have always relied on Dirk to carry them with that 25-40 points every game.

The poster shots by the Rockets dunking on the Mavs is going to require some serious highlight film

When you realize that Josh Smith has 8 more assists than Rajon Rondo tonight...

Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Well playoff Rondo might still exist in the minds of some diehard fans ...

But MAX Contract Rondo ....is no longer a reality .....so long big money
For such a smart dude(suposedly), it was a curious misstep to want to test free agency. Especially coming off an injury.

He could have played Danny for some big money at one point.....if he had shown energy and leadership ...I think that ship sailed with the dumb comment about not play n defense for years .

He has been his own worst enemy
between that comment and his recent play, he probably cost himself 10 mil a year. And if the Lakers don't want him, who is going to sign him?

I was huge Rondo fan before the tear down of the Celtics and his injuries .   His attitude is disgusting....for a guy who had it all going his way.   Rondo has a lot of damage control to turn his career around .   I don't like his body language ......this is playoffs ......he seems disconnected during playoffs......which is a bad sell to any GM

His career is on the verge of completely imploding, if it hasn't already happened.  It really is amazing to think back and see just where his career has gone since the 2012 ECF against Miami.  While the vast vast vast majority of the blame goes on Rondo himself, Pierce, KG, and Doc NEVER should've proclaimed it "Rondo's team" in 2013.  Coincidently enough, things started to really fall off the rails pretty much ever since those words were uttered.

Rondo had a bad game...Dirk had a WORSE game.

Dirk reverted back to Regular Season Nowitzksi....again...when his team needed him the most.

Coach Carlylse needs to figure this out soon...the window is closing on the Mavs. If this doesn't work...if Rondo AAAAANNNNNNNDDDDD Coach Carlysle can't get on one page - then Rondo moves on.

And I'll cheer him wherever he goes.

But don't give Dirk and Coach a free pass, here.

Was Rondo fools gold? Was he a system guy? Did he benefit more from playing with three first ballot hall of famers?

Rondo was at one time a special player who could be the best player on the court no matter who else was playing.  Then...

1.  He developed the bad habit of only bringing his A game when he felt like it.

2.  He blew out his knee.

3.  Something happened to turn his bad free throw shooting into one of the worst the NBA has ever seen.

4.  Rondo apparently decided he was too good to go through a rebuild.

Of course he benefited from it but so would any other player. He just has deficiencies that require certain players around him. It really was the best situation for him when Doc let him run the show. I have no idea if any other team will let him do that.

As much as I hate to see Rondo (and DAL) struggle, I'll always remember the good times in Green.

He didn't seem to have many detractors on here during the good times.

It is funny (and appalling) how we can turn on a player once he leaves. I thought that if you played great as a Celtic - even if it was for 2-3 years - that was enough to win some hearts.

When the ship starts to sink....or even list...we are quick to abandon ship. But then the captain will say "It's just a storm....why are you panicking?"

The storm will pass with Rondo. The book isn't closed on him, even though he's in a new chapter of his life right now.

The good times (and yes  - even the most ardent Anti-Rondo fans on here must say there were more good times than bad) far outweighed the bad. And that fact for me alone allows me to look at his ENTIRE situation in DAL before I throw him under the Texas Bus.
