Looks like the Cavs are probably going to beat the Bulls now that Pau is out.

With Pau, I felt the Bulls had a really good shot.  But without Pau playing, the Cavs can win this series just by having LeBron win every game virtually on his own.

Which is crazy, when the Bulls have two all-star level players in Rose and Butler.

It just shows the difference in impact of a true superstar, versus that second tier of really good players.

Rose isn't an All-Star anymore.

Bulls are toast now.

Tough for this team.  Finally get Rose playing at a high level in the post-season, against a limited Cavs team, and they still can't catch a break.

No.

He's definitely playing at a high level in this post-season, though.

Bogus, bogus, bogus.

Did the refs not see the replay?  He didn't even kick him.  He was trying to get his leg free.

Horrendous!!!

I thought it was obviously a kick.  Too excessive for just "trying to get his leg free."

A leg lock is completely harmless.  Any type of strike or attempted strike is an immediate ejection.

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I hate it when the announcers keep harping on the injuries of players who are out there playing.

It's such a pet peeve of mine.  If you are in the game, then you are out there, and whatever you produce is what you produce.

Sure, some players are more banged up than others . . . and some you just hear about it more constantly.

Haha, exactly!

True, but it's obvious just by watching that Kyrie and Noah aren't right.  They both have their moments, but neither has played at an all-world level like they're capable.

I just wish Chris Webber and everybody would stop making such a big deal out of it.  It's lame.  If you are playing, you don't get to talk about how hurt you are, even when you are.

That's kind of part of the Code of the Playground . . . at least the one I always subscribed to.

In fairness to Webber, he's doing color commentary for a national broadcast, which means his primary audience is a casual one.  Given that context, it kind of makes sense to note that certain guys are playing hurt, because otherwise a casual viewer is going to think that's how those guys play normally.

I'd say "harping on" would be more appropriate wording of what Webber's doing than simply "noting" it.

Yeah.  I didn't say Webber was good at his job.  :P

I don't think Rose has been at a high level. He has had some games where he has been excellent but many others were he wasn't. His defense has been abysmal for most of the playoffs. He has been guilty of selfish play on many occasions. Ooverdribbling the basketball and hurting the Bulls ball movement. He has been a volume (inefficient) scorer (50.7% TS%).

Disagree.  It was definitely a bit too demonstrative from Gibson, but he didn't actually kick him.  He was kicking his leg free from a leg lock.

I guess you have to give Dellavedova credit for getting away with a cheap, dirty play and getting an opposing player ejected.

I still say; bogus.

Even with Gasol, this team goes through ridiculous dry spells and can't score.  Without Gasol, I'm really starting to think the Bulls can't win this series anymore.

I feel like we've all traveled back in time 2006, 2007, 2008.  Lebron on the Cavs with a roster that he knows isn't good enough to win in the playoffs, so he has to turn it into the Lebron show and score at least 35 a night.

I mean, credit to him because he has the talent to do it, but overnight they've become a very boring team to watch.

Great fight here by the Bulls to get back in this.  It's not quite over yet.

We could see another buzzer-beater in this one.  The Bulls have shown a lot of guts (and the additional spacing they got with Gibson out probably helps).

How big could that Mirotic buzzer beater end up being?

You've got Lebron and Kyrie in there; what is Delladova doing handling the ball?

Great box out by LeBron Thompson on Joakim Noah.
