Last year Kelly had a streak of 20+ straight free throws. I thought that would be a real strength for him going forward but most of this year has been terrible for him from the line. Quietly though, he has gotten his stroke back. He is 21 of his last 24 since a disastrous 3 of 8 game. His stroke is now simple and short. The last 8 or so he has shoot haven't even touched the rim.
Meanwhile, his outside shot is also looking better. He now has a much shorter stroke, it's all elbow and wrist, and it seems like he isn't starting it out in front of him as far. He might be a secret weapon for us against the Cavs if he can pull Love or Mosgov away from the basket giving IT and Turner a chance to drive. We are going to need our bigs going 6-10 or better from three point land to hang with the Cavs.
