was the only person not to get out of his seat,he did not seem happy, whether it was having to face cleveland not atlanta or the fact his high draft pick was scuppered.Danny was very candid while guesting on gormans show but was completely focused on game while saying you don't often get the opportunity to get an isiah---the owner ,the fans and the concessions now get those extra games of sellouts, everybody benefits from this except dannys drafting rebuild-

I noticed that too. Although, safe to assume it wasn't because of the draft pick because the Celtics had already clinched the playoffs and only "moved down" in the draft by one position with that win.

This is really only a conversation because the camera panned to him. He may look like this after every game winner, for what we now.
"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

I think we will find one good player through this coming draft and probably 1 via FA. I think Danny will do fine regardless of our draft position. He has done nicely constructing the foundation of this team. Smart, Crowder, Bradley are solid pieces going forward. I can also see Turner staying now as well. I think ultimately, Crowder and Turner wants to stay in Boston and call it their home.

Maybe he crapped his pants when Crowder hit the shot so that was the cause for his reaction.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

who knows.

What was interesting was one thing he said in the 2nd quarter. About getting IT. Something like "getting incrementally better isn't what we necessarily want to be doing but you can't sit and wait forever and IT was too good to pass up." My words, but its the gist of what he said.

If he was so intent on tanking and falling to the 8th spot, he wouldn't have went out and grabbed IT.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Yeah, that's the second time he has said that. He also previously implied that he' have drafted him if they hadn't already had Rondo. Kind of an odd refutation of the "best player available", considering especially where Jim was picked.

Exactly. He is usually stone-faced.
This is reading into a (non)reaction for information that isn't there.

When we beat Cleveland. I know he will smile. He is an awesome GM. Greater Things are yet to come for us.

Don't read into it.

Danny has to always down play things like the quality of the draft, seeding, pick value, etc. As a GM he doesn't want to let anyone have leverage over him. If he appears really high on this year's draft, or more specifically high on a particular player, those who hold the keys to getting that player will demand more out of him. He's just playing with a poker face, nothing more. He's celebrated plenty of times in the past.
Long-form is far from dead, but please refrain from paragraph-laden posts! Who wants to read that?!

This means nothing, some people just don't wear their emotions on their sleeve.  Doesn't mean he wasn't happy or that he was disappointed.

For example look at this video, skip ahead to about 2:30 then watch through about 4:13:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JZtm6LZOA4&t=2m29s

Game 4 of the ECF in '98.  Reggie hits a go ahead 3 with .4 left on the clock.  After the shot, Reggie Miller is acting like a little kid already on a sugar high on Christmas morning.  Then they show the replay with Bird's reaction at 4:04.  Based on his expression, Bird must have been pretty upset his team won, I bet he wanted to end the season so he could go golfing so he was mad when his team winning game.

Can't read too much into it.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Actually, I've seen Danny get pretty enthusiastic on the sidelines.  This is the guy that got slapped with a $25k fine for trying to distract JJ Hickson when he was shooting free throws.
