I think the way to beat Love is with speed, size / length, or both. Posting him up with a 6'9'' rolly polly dude is giving him a bit of a pass defensively, in my opinion.
Now, if we were talking about vintage KG, sure, posting up Love with a guy like that would be ideal. Not unlike KG going to work against Antawn Jamison back in the day.
Right, but if you get him in foul trouble, you won't have to worry about him on offense, and you might be able to slow down their running game, as well, given that Love throws such great outlet passes. If you get him in foul trouble, he can't be aggressive down the stretch, so all I'm saying is that if you do your work early in terms of putting fouls on him, then the game can be very easy late. It would also help us get in the penalty quicker, which is huge, especially on the road against Lebron.
