Usually some growing pains for these new Big 3's the first go round.  Miami had a few scares against a mediocre Philly team in their Big 3's maiden voyage.  And of course our 2008 squad had that nightmare series against a pretty crappy Atlanta team.

I think Stevens and this squad are opportunistic enough to take at least one game from a fledgling powerhouse.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

The Cavs themselves have a lot of first-time playoff performers among their core unit, so who knows how they'll react to it.

Its time for CRASH!   I would tell Wallace to foul LeBron hard six times a game.  Pull an Artest!

Then Smart gets physical with LBJ.  Then Crowder, etc.

Celtics win 2 games.

Its hard to beat the referees and the Cavs.

The easiest way to take advantage of this Cavs team, I would think, would be to attack the paint and try to expose their lack of rim protection aside from Mozgov (who is just OK himself).

Isaiah Thomas and Evan Turner may be able to do that to some extent.  The Celtics don't seem especially well equipped for that strategy, though.

The only way the Celtics become remotely competitive is if LeBron gets hurt early in the series.

Isn't this the reason we drafted Smart? #easygame

Celtics in 7, Bradley has a couple 30+ point games and Olynyk gets loose for three 20+ point games, JR Smith is ejected in Game 6.

This if the Celtics can get mozgov in foul trouble we will be in almost every game with out a doubt in my mind.

I see game #1 as very physical. they will try to bogart it to throw us off our game plan because they know if we stay on our game plan and that ball finds the hole, we are a very hard team to beat.

This was definetly the tough way to go, through Cleveland, but I'm glad they had the balls to keep their foot on the gas.

Alternatively, we could just take advantage of Love in the post with Sullinger, but I doubt that such a strategy would even be considered, let alone implemented.  Sigh.

I don't think trying to post up Love with a guy who is even shorter and less athletic than he is would be the ideal way of trying to attack him.

Rather, you'd want to force him to switch onto a quicker, more athletic player on the pick and roll and make him try and stay in front of a guy / contest at the rim.

But Sully's got dat bulk, tho. ;) ;D Plus, Love isn't exactly a shotblocker, and if Sullinger decides to throw a few up-fakes at him, Love might bite and pick up a couple of fouls, meaning that he'd be stuck on the bench for most of the first half.  You only have a minute or two at the beginning of a game to exploit the anxiety of the moment before everyone calms down, however, and since I don't believe that Sully will be starting, this 'strategy' is rendered moot.  Sigh.

Cavaliers in 6.

I'm kind of expecting one horrible '67-63' game out of the bunch, maybe the first... then business as usual for the LeBronies.

I think the way to beat Love is with speed, size / length, or both.  Posting him up with a 6'9'' rolly polly dude is giving him a bit of a pass defensively, in my opinion.

Now, if we were talking about vintage KG, sure, posting up Love with a guy like that would be ideal.  Not unlike KG going to work against Antawn Jamison back in the day.
