Perk you traitor lol
Quote
"I would love to play [LeBron] in the playoffs somehow, and I would love to beat him," Grousbeck said.

The Celtics have won two straight games against the Cavs over the weekend, but both victories come with big asterisks for Boston after James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving did not suit up for regular minutes in either game. The last time the Celtics faced the Cavs at full strength was back on March 3 when Cleveland handed Boston its worst loss of the season in a 110-79 beatdown.

That type of performance is indicative of the domination the Cavs have imposed on their opponents during the second half of the season. Since returning from a two-week absence on January 13, James has led the new-look Cavs to an Eastern Conference best 32-10 record. Additions such as Timofey Mozgov, J.R. Smith, and Iman Shumpert have strengthened LeBron’s supporting cast, making them the East favorites in the eyes of Vegas oddsmakers.

Kendrick Perkins was a late-season free agent addition for the Cavs, and was surprised to hear his former owner wishing for a series with LeBron.

“Did Wyc say that?” Perkins asked with a puzzled look after Sunday’s loss, “I ain’t got no comment. No comment.”

These are my thoughts exactly.  Bouncing the Cavs in the first round would be the best thing ever.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Wyc is only saying this in advance of losing tonight, because he knows the questions
will come - did you tank the game to play Atlanta ? What are they going to say ?
uhh, yeah, we tanked the game ? No, of course not.
So he says this.
We know it's not true because in reality the Celtics have a better chance of beating the Hawks.

Also, Celtics need some rest.
They are going to lose tonight - and at Milwaukee.

Get ready to face Atlanta. Meanwhile, the Raptors can become the winningest
Raptors team ever with a win tonight, and go 4-0 on road trip, another first in
franchise history. - oh, and they also want to win to lock in 3rd seed so they
can face the Bucks instead of the Wizards.

Cavs match up will be tougher than hawks, they will have the refs on their side protecting the precious Lebron.

If this happens,  get ready for another championship??

No underdog team like the 2014-2015 Celts have won a NBA championship before. It has to happen eventually right?

It has happened in the NHL, NFL, MLB but not NBA

It would be.

Love to hear the queen after that. Someone would bring up how glad they are he lost and we can listen to him belittle us again. Saying how we have to get up and go back to our crappy jobs and all that good cry baby stuff she said last time.

Sure Wyc would.    A playoff matchup with Lebron sells out the Garden and you get increased local media exposure with Lebron in town.

Atlanta doesn't carry that same cache.  You might still sell out the Garden but you're not getting the same buzz.

No he isn't, he said it before the last Cavs game.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Love it.

And I agree. If there's any sort of chance that were getting out of the East, chances are we're going to have to go through Cleveland anyway, so why wait...

Bring it, Cavs!

We do end up on NBA TV!

No he isn't, he said it before the last Cavs game.

it's still relevant because today is the day they had to decide who they
want to face.
being able to choose who you play is a pretty big deal although it's not kosher to come out and say we intentionally lost.
the rumor is out there and today the line movement in vegas was big.

Exactly.  If they draw the Cavs, they might actually show up on TNT!

No, you said he said it because we are about to tank to choose who we play, in fact he said it before we even made the playoffs. You are saying he said it for a reason he did NOT, we needed the win against Cleveland, what you are saying just doesn't fit. In order for your theory to make sense, he would not have said it BEFORE he knew we were going to be in the playoffs, he would have had to say it AFTER we were in. How would he know before the Cavs game that we would be able to tank the Toronto game? He had to know a few things to even get there, he had to know the Nets would lose their last 2 and we would beat Cavs. He said it before all of those things happened.

Um, good for him?  Honestly, who cares?  All I have to say is that Wyc should be very careful of what he wishes for, because such comments are hardly going to help our cause, lol. ;D Wow.

Do you know how much people will pay to see LeBron play at TD Garden?  Of course he wants the Cavs.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.
