In the heart if hearts.  I'll take it.  See you sunday, Cavs.

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my
blood would’ve been green.  -  Bill "Greatest of All Time" Russell

cavs gifting us the win!?

Obviously.

Nope we earned this win. Cavs played lights out in the third and we held our ground so they gave up.

In other words, lebron curb stomped us when he wanted to... Then he sat back and let us win.  Very kind of him. Nice guy.

That or Blatt realized he was being a moron for playing his superstar players too many minutes in a completely meaningless game and decided to let the rest of his team try to earn the win.
Did lebron sit the entire 4th?  That only happens when you are rolling over.

Love played 31 minutes through 3 quarters - unreasonable.
LBJ about 26 - not unreasonable, but not necessary either.

We withstood their 3rd quarter run and still lead through 3 quarters on the road.  We played a good 4th and earned the win.  The Cavs didn't roll over.  We won the game.

even the Cavs announcers stated that the Celtics earned this win

Lets just say if LBJ and Love closed it out, it would have been much closer. I would have much more enjoyed the win if the Cavs had those two o the floor.

It's unfortunate the Cavs spoiled the game for you....bummer.  Maybe Sunday Blatt should check with you to see who sits, you know, so you and LarBrd33 can enjoy the game more.   ::)

I don't care how it happens, a win is a win

Any W over a team with LBJ on the court gives the young guys belief that they can go out there and upset teams

Lets go celtics!

I think we now have a realistic shot at 6th seed, I wouldn't mind playing Tor...but I do not want to play CHI. Too much size for us to handle in a full series.

Sorry, I think our chances are virtually zero.  We'd have to go 3-0 and have Milwaukee go 0-3 because they own the tie-breaker.  They play us, Brooklyn and Philly.

Well said, Indy just had a last sec win against the lowly Detroit and they did not look one bit disappointed to me lol
LBJ did not close the game, but he did start it very badly.
Which brings us to my real point:
Apart from:
1. three triple doubles
2. Multiple buzzer beaters
3. Having ice veins and NBA's weirdest voice
now we also have to glorify ET for
4. getting a career high in assists and restricting LBJ to 14 pts in 26 minutes on the same night.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Jesus, for Celtic fans some of you guys just don't wanna admit we have a pretty good team here, huh? They earned this win. James and Love played, they made a big run in the 3rd, we stood our ground and instead of risk a meaningless (for them) dogfight against a team that can scrap with the best of them, they rested their key guys in the 4th. That Cavs team is 20x better than us. They should be proud of this win.

And I find it pretty ironic that, after a wave of "Marcus Smart can't play offense so he sucks" threads around here, he leads the team scoring in the biggest game of the year with 19 pts on 7/10 shooting and 3/5 from deep. The kid can play.
