I was and still am a fan of Rondo. That being said, it's a huge advantage to have a PG who can shoot, take it to the hole to get to the line, and make free throws especially at the end of games as Thomas does.

I think we Ainge did pretty well in the Rondo trade.

My exact sentiments. He's still may favorite player and I root for him Dallas, but I'm also happy with the direction of the C's and I think that Danny made the right decision. Yeah, it feels weird to have a PG that can score like that..lol. IT has his faults as well, but I like him as a player.

In the world of what have you done lately, the Celtics with Rondo in the line up the last 3 seasons he played, 18-20 , 6-24 , 8-14.
Mavs with him in line up this year 24-19 (6-10 against other current Western conference playoff teams) without him 23-12
.357 current free throw percentage this season

I would say good at math is a tad overstating things

Gavin

The entire Celtics mystique would seem to run against a "what have you done for me lately" approach to sports fandom. Unless you think we're all here because of Evan Turner's style and grace?
It was a nice article, about a guy who openly admitted to dogging it on defense the last couple of years, very disrespectful to Brad Stevens, I mean who does he think he is? A role player on the Celts last championship 7 years ago who is struggling to stay relevant.
Hopefully that Celtics mystique can convince a couple of the top free agents to join the Celtics this off season ;D I am here for that Brandon Bass mid range jumper ;)
