Why would him resting the last two games help Miami?

Or do you mean he's helping the Heat by *not* resting against the Celtics?

Lebron gets criticized for a lot of things, but I don't think that "he refused to take games off" is a valid criticism.

he already did it. when they played against the Heat a couple weeks ago. the Heat blew out the Cavs and it looked like Lebron had no plans of playing hard that night.

At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

LeBron controls the Celtics destiny.   Or partially anyways.

When decides to play to win , not cruise , not rest ,  not suggest Love or Irving rest.......LeBron controls the Cavs team .....WAY more than the coach......what LeBron wants off the court ...LeBron gets.

LeBron wants to rest and wants HIS stars to rest ....lthey will ,  what coach wants doesn't matter....that's why they needed a nobody coach to take orders. From LeBron.

He can tANK the Celtics or put them in contention for the 8th seed ...kinda at a whim .....how he feels about play n. or resting... ::)

Playing the best teams get last ten games of the year is a BAD idea.

Maybe he would be helping Miami by keeping them out of the playoffs so that they don't lose their first round pick. It would seem to be what's best for everybody - including us.

I am still not totally sold on BKN, though - we tie them and we are in.

They have just as bad of a schedule as us the rest of the way, too. After tonight they still have games against the Bulls, Wiz, Bucks, and Magic.

I do not see the choke when matters which has always been his true factor.  Best player on the planet when things are going his way.

If we make the playoffs or don't, it will be because we either earned it, or didn't
Lebron missing one or two games has no bearing on our performance over a full season
The guy is great but come on, our fate is in our own hands!

The Cavs(Lebron) will do what he thinks is in his best interests for a potentially long playoff run.
Apart from Lebron you have j R Smith 29 , the other 7 guys in their regular rotation average age is roughly 25 years old.
It is a bad look if any of those guys rest more than 1 game the rest of the way in my opinion. I don't remember Jordan, Pippen resting too many games in their 2nd three peat, No championship aside Stockton & Malone didn't need to rest.
Every year I hear how long and drawn out the playoffs are and how much time off there is between games etc.
Celtics playoff hopes aside , play your guys, maybe they should donate their game salaries to charity for the games that they sit out, that would change their minds quick smart.

Look how good it is seeing the top teams in the Western conference playing their guys trying to get home court in the first round. If injuries happen so be it, you could blow out your knee in practice, if it happens , well it wasn't in the cards that you were going to win.

LeBron definitely impacts the playoffs , just by himself .....his mindset at a particular moment,  rest or  , savage the lesser teams without mercy....LOL

He plays .....then it's a mountain the Celtics must climb .

One team with three legit all stars , the other  with none.    :(

I think that Lebron put the "chokes in the clutch" thing behind him a few years back.

That was one of the best elimination game performances I can remember seeing.  It still sucks thinking about it.  It's probably the second most disappointing loss of the KG-era, simply because we never had a chance; Lebron was utterly unstoppable.

One week ago, the Cavs blew out the Cavs and Lebron put up a line of 21/8/7, with 1 steal and 3 blocks.  He's not taking it easy on Miami.

That was actually the game when people stopped using the 4 quarters joke. I hate that it had to be against us though. I really believe after that game was when he had the 'aha' moment and really figured that he was the best freaking player..ugh.

Yeah that was about as thorough a dissembling as I've seen in a modern day playoff game for some time.
