Mine as of April 7th 2014

1. Karl Towns - Lacks advanced post skills but otherwise is the complete center of the draft
2. Mudiay -John Wall part 2
3. Russell - best SG of the draft.  Reminds me of Brandon Roy
4. Winslow -  Skilled, longer wingspan version of Jae Crowder.  Top notch motor, versatile D
5. Okafor -  huge body/long wingspan/good post skills.  Needs to work on defense/stamina/J
6. Kaminsky - Inside/outside skilled center. Needs to become stronger
7. Porzingis - 7'0" tall long wingspan quick/athletic pf.  Can put in on the floor and shoot.Skinny
8. Johnson - 6'7 beast sf. Good defender and decent shooter/scoring skills.  not explosive
9. Hezonja - 6'8 SG , explosive. Good shooter/handles. Intense.  Not consistent
10. Oubre - Athletic sg/sf with 7'2 wingspan.  Needs to add strength/develop right hand
11. Grant
12. WCS
13. Poetl
14. Wood
15. Pope
16. Turner
17. Lyles
18. Looney
19. Dekker

it's your list but after watching tourney/last night's game how can you have Okafor as the #1 prospect?

It was just not foul issues that kept him out of the game.   Mediocre defender and he has to really work on his stamina. A few times up and down the court and he looks gassed.  Winslow imo is even a better prospect

Kaminsky 16? Really?

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
You've got Kaminsky at #6? wow.

Okafur is likely #1 or#2 for NBA teams simply because of his size and offensive ability. I'd probably take Towns, and I've been changing my mind about them as I watch them live over the tourney. His footwork is better than Towns but he doesn't have the defensive ability. On the offensive end he's one of the best big men in a while so I can see the potential. His IQ is incredibly high as well.

I think if the Knicks get the #1 pick they'll take Towns. I think if the Lakers get the #1 pick they'd take Okafur.
My list:

1)Towns
2)Mudiay
3)Okafur
4) Russell
5)Winslow
6)Porzingis
7)Willy Cauley Stein
8)Mario Heznoja
9)Stanley Johnson
10)Kelly Oubre
11) Turner
12)Grant
13)Portis
14) Lyles
15)Levert
16)Kaminsky
17)Poeltl
18)Looney

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Very deep draft.... each one of these tiers are very fluid.. ex. Devin Booker can go anywhere from 10-17, Willie Cauley-Stein can go anywhere from 5-9, etc. Overall a pretty decent draft.. I would say the top tier is below average but the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th tiers are pretty strong compared to other recent drafts (like lasts years for example)

1. Karl Towns
2. Jahlil Okafor
3. Emmanuel Mudiay
4. D'angelo Russell

5. Justice Winslow
6. Stanley Johnson
7. Kristaps Porzingis
8. Mario Hezonja
9. Willie Cauley-Stein

10. Kelly Oubre
11. Myles Turner
12. Trey Lyles
13. Jakob Poetl
14. Frank Kaminsky
15. Kris Dunn
16. Kevon Looney
17. Devin Booker

18. Cameron Payne
19. Sam Dekker
20. Jerian Grant

21. Christian Wood
22. Malik Pope
23. Caris Levert
24. Bobby Portis
25. Terry Rozier
26. Montrezl Harrell
27. Rondae Hollis Jefferson
28. Tyus Jones
29. Delon Wright
30. Dakari Johnson

early 2nd- RJ Hunter, Jarell Martin, Demetrius Jackson,George Lucas, Cliff Alexander, Justin Anderson, Robert Upshaw, Timothy Luwawu, Jake Layman (local kid), Chris McCollugh

I'd be happy if we came away with anyone in the 2nd tier (preferably Jakob Poetl... he reminds me of a more mobile Omer Asik and many people wanted to offer him the max a few summers ago) and anyone in the 5th tier... I would love to gamble on Malik Pope. Then we have an early second and i like Timothy Luwawu. Electric athlete and defender.... Reminds me of Kahwi Leonard but slightly smaller

15th- Jakob Poetl
25th- Malik Pope
33rd- Timothy Luwawu

Not bad

I think OKafor has a generational talent in his post scoring. Okafor will eventually learn to defend the position, just like another guy with a similar body named Roy Hibbert. I like Towns but Okafor had a better regular season, so I'm trying not to over react to the tournament.

On Kaminsky, he probably will be picked higher, but I think he duplicates some of the same issues our bigs have so I rate him slightly lower.

Okafor cant defend out on the perimeter. He cant shoot. If he has an off post game then what?

Also in the regular season which decent prospect center did he face?  He was mainly mowing down on teams with mediocre to no decent inside presence.

I agree with this list a little more. Okafor may not fall past 3-4 but has too many holes currently.

He is no big al downlow either. Not as skilled

Does anyone know why Myles Turner is sliding on mock drafts?  Is there an issue with his knees or something?  Just curious.
