I have seen it reported that the protected  second round pick from the Wizards we got in the Kris Humphries sign and trade is either

Top-49 protected (see Hoops Rumors (http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2015/02/traded-future-nba-draft-picks.html>) or is

Top-55 protected (see BasketBall Insiders <http://www.basketballinsiders.com/nba-draft-picks-owed/>).

Which is it? Can anyone definitively clarify? Its a bit shocking how hard it is to search for official league office press releases. Doesnt seem to be anything on the team site either.

Of course, if it is only top-49 protected this is something else to watch as the Wizards are fighting Toronto for the 49th and 50th position currently. Another reason why Saturday's win over Toronto was a good thing!

I've seen it in many places as Top 49 protected.  Currently Wiz are picking 49th, so they'd get it.  They're a game behind Toronto to pick 50th, however, in which case it would shift.

One reporter tried to get a lead early on after the trade was reported and said it was Top 55, but most mid-season articles about the Celtics picks have said it is Top 49.

RealGM has it at 49:

Quote
2015 second round draft pick from Washington
Washington's 2015 2nd round pick to Boston protected for selections 31-49 (if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then Washington's obligation to Boston will be extinguished) [Boston-Washington, 7/19/2014]
