Only a little more than a week left in the regular season and the Celtics are facing incredible odds of making the playoffs should Cleveland decide to play its regulars in the final games. After such an emotional year who really wants it to end. If it does end or doesn't, it still will have been a great season.
Lots of interesting things happened this year. We lost our two top players in Rajon and Jeff, added Jae Crowder, getting Jerebko + Datome for Prince (a player many of us hated to see leave), Zeller comes along unexpectedly and keeps playing better, Marcus Smart...nobody wanted...but he sure surprised us, traded for a spark plug in Isaiah. Consistent shooting and play by Avery and Bass.
I could go on with some great games by Turner and Olynyk. Even Wallace proved useful. Sully carried the rebounding load before getting hurt. Pressey provided some gutsy play while substituting for Isaiah. And, a lot of people are excited about Young's potential.
Oh, I almost forgot the coach. Many feel he should be Coach of the Year. Even if he doesn't get it, he and his crew did a great job! This has been a great season regardless of what the wins or losses say.
