Last 8 games he is averaging 8.3 points and 7.8 rebounds in about 30 minutes a game. This stretch includes games against good, bad and terrible teams with varying frontline skills. To act like this is a one game outlier and he hasn't been struggling statistically is ridiculous.
Yes and this 8 game stretch has coincided with him missing games vs Heat, Magic, Leaving the philly game in the 3rd quarter, sitting in the 4th for the SPurs game. This is all because of the back injury
BY the Way he is actually Avg 12.75ppg 8rpg in the last 8 games
http://espn.go.com/nba/player/gamelog/_/id/3449/kevin-loveNot sure were you getting you numbers from. Unless of course your counting the 0 points from the games he didnt play which would bring your cherry picking of stats to a whole new level

His rebounding has been declining pretty steadily for the 2 months going from a high of 11.1 in January to 9.7 in February to 8.8 in March. That is not cherry picking it is a decline over a 3rd of the season. This could be attributed to his back injury, but you say he has been battling that all season.
Not much else to say. The back has been an issue all season but recently started getting worse hence the extended breaks they been recently giving him. His rebounding is fine.
Sorry a guy a big than can launch 3's is not that unique, especially at 36% for the season. While I realize Channing Frye is over paid for his skillset (as is Ryan Anderson). A big that can stretch the floor at that percentage is hardly unique. If you really want me to bother posting a bunch of big men that can shoot 36% from 3 I will.
-Are those stretch 4s giving you 10rpg with their 3pt shooting??
-Are they good enough passers to give you 3-4apg??
-Are they capable of abusing their defender downlow given the right matchup??
-Are you capable of running plays (esp at the elbow) through them for good stretches of the game??
-Are Cavs capable of getting any of those players without giving up a key part of their current core??If you cant definitively say yes to all those questions then you really dont have an argument
This could be argued both ways. If he really is concerned about his back. Would he want to risk it getting injured next year and not signing the longest contract he could this offseason?
Of course he wont risk it. Thats my point. He has back issues. Could easily get injured next year and miss out on big money. Cavs can offer him the most money and most yrs. He will sign the 5 yr deal this off season.
MOst of all this talk from Celtics/Lakers/Knick fans seems like wishful thinking. Maybe if he was actually linked to a contender it would make sense but instead its all lottery teams who would still easily been at best 2-3 yrs away from being legit title contenders. I am sure after wasting the first 7yrs of his career, he is just dying to waste more yrs on a losing team rather get the most money/most contract yrs and compete for a title NOW!!!!!
