first ,none of this is crticism.Does he have too slow of release ,given time his shot is nice, can he pull up,can he create or is he just straight line.Does he have more upside even though he is older than some.Next, with isiah back, Turner is playing more in control, also he doesn't get credit enough for his rebounding.Best play of game was bradly steal-a true classic -bravo comes to mind-

It is the totally unscientific eye-test.

It seems to me that every time he tries to put the ball on the floor or create of the dribble, something bad happens - bad pass, turnover, etc... I think his release is slow, but it does not matter a lot, as I do not want him to shoot off the dribble.

On offense, I would like him to do what he does now - screen, spread the floor, cut aggressively if the D sleeps, pass to the next man if the shot is not there. That is pretty valuable as it is.

I do not think he has some dramatic improvement left in him. If he just continue doing what he already does just a little bit better, I'd be content. A short upfake and go would be great, just to keep the D on their heels. But that is more or less it.

Y'all are laughing, but it's sad. I go home and deny the wing."

His release is slow, this has always been a knock on him.  Look at this from his draft profile on a site.

Quote
He is not a smooth and natural player … Lacks the fluidness and finesse that is present in many European prospect … His shot is effective, but his release is extremely slow and he is not good at shooting on the move or off the dribble … His perimeter game, especially off the dribble is extremely limited …

Again, this was noted in his predraft assessment.  Jeff Green had the same problem early in his career.

But he usually makes the right pass or takes the right shot and is great a floor spreader.   I think his basketball IQ is high, he gets a lot of 50/50 plays and rebounds with his acumen.  I like the fact, that he does not quit on plays and tries to tip rebounds he can't get.   He had 8 again last night in 20 minutes of play though he shot poorly.

He shoots it  .37% so other teams have to respect his three unlike Sully's 29% which other teams would dare him to shoot.   He also runs the floor and get does a good job of staying in front of his man.   CBS uses him at C a lot in the second unit when we go small ball.

I wonder if we will keep him, I imagine if the price is right, yes.  If he wants a huge raise, then no.  He is what he is, I agree he does not have a huge upside.   But he is scrappy and does not give up, I like him but them we are both of viking descent so I am predisposed towards him and my view may be skewed.

I see Ainge really liking Jerebko, but if Jerebko asks for more than hes worth, I see DA passing on him.

I like Jerebko a lot. I know he's likely never going to be an all-star, but he's a pretty good 3pt shooter, and I love how he's been rebounding lately—7 a game over the past 8 games. And I've seen him make a few decent moves off the dribble, so maybe he's improving in that area.

The guy really gives a ton of effort. Watch him when a shot goes up. He goes for it every time. He is really making the most of his limited role.
