Its happening. The Celtics should have pulled the plug on Stevens and encouraged him to talk with IU. The Celtics should have ranked harder by playing a bum like Pressey into the ground for 30 minutes a night. Nothing good can come of this playoff appearance. Nothing. Well except for a few tickets that Wyc will sell. Awful.

let's see....

repeat of threads saying get rid of CBS. check
repeat of threads saying don't get into playoffs. check.
repeat of threads saying management doesn't want to win. check.

perhaps you might wish to resurrect some of these old threads so we can relive those moments.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Yep.

This was a great season to teach young NBA player all the bad habits in the world to make sure they will frustrate future coaches, teammates and fans for the rest of their careers.

treadmill -doesn't exist because danny stockpiled draft choices to move up,ability to sign free agents ,TPE's and flexibilty he has built up to trade-your panic over draft is un justified-the celts are actually positioned for quicker success with a team identity- ahead of the curve is more like it-

I will take what the team plays us into be it lottery or playoffs.   This team is a more fun to watch since we got rid of Rondo and Green and Sully got hurt.    I actually would enjoy watching more games.  I trust Ainge will find us someone in the draft who can contribute or trade for someone without hamstringing us.

Wouldn't we have to repeat something for it to be a treadmill?

Thanks!  I'd seen these arguments before, but buried in other threads, they didn't resonate the same way as they do now.  I'm convinced.  I guess we should stop posting on this board for the next 5 years, because what's the point, really.

It's tough to see how depressed you are about getting into the playoffs.  it's going to get worse for you in years to come.

Guess we could qualify the OP's repeated posts on the subject to be a treadmill.  Its the same stuff every time.

I'll just say that I am getting a lot of satisfaction out of finally seeing a Celtics team again that looks like they are actually playing to win.

There seems to be a marked difference between how the current team competes and carries themselves since any time following the 2013 season.

Sure, guys are playing for minutes, for contracts, for their own individual careers--that will always be the case, but with this group, those concerns seem to take a back seat to playing well as a team and getting wins.  They look real serious about it.

It's been great to watch.

Treadmill, nothing.  I feel that we have a lot of guys on the team who are at stages of their careers where learning how to play for a winner, and what it takes to be a winning NBA basketball team, is more important than learning how to make their own stats look better.

They are learning those lessons, and I believe the experience will be hugely beneficial to the Boston Celtics moving forward.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

that and the fact the OP was vocalizing in another thread making the rounds about Ainge 'blowing' the last 4 drafts yet the OP has been one of the most vocal people here screaming for Ainge to tank and live in the lottery until he gets lucky with a pick.

genius.  trade the worry of playoff treadmill for lottery treadmill  ::)

When I first read it, I honestly thought this thread was written as a joke.  It isn't?
