If we reach playoffs this year and next year we make a step forward reaching the second round of playoffs i think at the end of the 2015-2016 season we must expand cbs contract

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Didn't Stevens sign a six-year contract? That means at the end of next year, he will still have three years left on his contract. I am all for keeping him long-term if he does a great job, but I think you wait at least a couple of years. I think Belichick and Pop are the only coaches in sports who should be signed to 'infinity' type contracts (and they are getting much older).

I think it will be easy to retain him should we start winning.   The guy likes a challenge.   If I were him I'd be salivating over all those draft picks.

Yeah, what? He's still in the middle of what was an unprecedented contract for a rookie head coach.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

I am already impressed with the amount of talent he has and what he is able to do with them. Of course I hope for the playoffs, and if we do, he definitely should be mentioned for COY. I don't think he will win, but give him credit where credit is due. With Danny constantly gutting the team, he has to keep finding ways to work with the roster and win. If he keeps improving his record and we give him more help, I would absolutely extend him.

No. Too early and there's plenty of time left on his current contract.

At least it's not a gloom and doom thread because we're headed to the Playoffs though.

So a TP to you.

It'd be nice to keep a coach for a while.  I thought Doc was gonna stay as a lifer because that's all he talked about.  I think it's impressive with how well he's adapted but he's still learning so it's probably better to wait.  The only gig that would make me nervous for him to leave would be Indiana but Vogel has shown that he is pretty good too.

Way too early for this to be a topic of discussion.
