Not seeing the star potential in Johnson. I heard all about him on this board as somebody we had to have and then watched a couple of games. He seems to be a good defender, but super-passive on offense and not exactly engaged on that end (for a supposed top-end talent). Smart was also seen as a defense-first guy, but you could tell he had those leadership skills that could not be taught.

On another note, I would definitely use James Young to move up in the draft for a better SF (including Johnson, funny enough). People talk about KO being passive and weak, but at least he helps control the game when he is in, Young has a LOT to learn. I am hoping he wasn't just hyped up because he had a good dunk during March Madness.

You gotta factor in age when talking about Johnson. If we drafted the kid, he could be guarding LeBron in the playoffs next year and still be 19 years old.

12/7 + decent shooting (36% 3PT, 73% FT) at a top program @ 18 years old, and consensus is he has an NBA body already and could defend right away. Actually sounds a lot like a freshman Marcus Smart, except we're not talking about spending a top-5 pick to get him.
