This will likely not happen and I am sure I will get plenty of criticism here for suggesting this, but really....enough is enough.

My dream play for Celtics vs. Heat next week, assuming Wade plays......

Marcus Smart shows DWade the baseline where Jae Crowder is waiting and sends Wade the message he so richly deserves. Nothing crazy......just a good old hard flagrant one with a play on the ball and then Wyc pays the fine.

Wade definitely tried to break Rondo's arm and now IT is out all this time. How many more serious injuries is this guy allowed to cause before he understands there will always be a price to pay for his crap when playing the Celtics?

If not he will just keep doing it, IMO.

I can't bring myself to actually say a player deserves to be injured... but I really despise Wade

Wade should be in prison for what he did to Rondo.  I'd pay to see him hurt badly.

+1...I agree . Both the Rondo assault and the IT mugging both hurt the Cs and helped the cHeat. iT missing at least 6 games in a tight playoff race where we're competing directly against the cHeat is helping them as much as it's hurting us.

Agreed.

Wade should be in prison.

The NBA league office is a joke.

Well, this team is contagious. It might be the Riley's aura or something.
Call me paranoid, but each player that enter this team becomes a bad person.
As a result none of them are champions in my eyes. The only one that got a title is Ray (because he deserved it while in Boston). The rest is pure fake and has no value.
I guess that's enough punishment for a man that will look back at his career when he reach 60 and realize what he has done just for the sake of holding a shiny item once in a while.
Don't hurt him, let it be who he is and watch him loose and become a grumpy old man.
I didn't follow closely the past generation of players, but it looks like to me that the great Thomas was a bully and not very friendly like Wade. As a result, it looks like he's desperate to pay back right now to balance his life (mentoring our Thomas for example).
Guilt is a very powerful thing that can eat you with age.

I agree, karma will hit him hard...I generally don't want the C's to do it but the injuries he caused the Cs to have in the past which includes IT...

someone should deck him! When he's driving to the basket, someone send him flying

Instead of injuring him, someone should just move in on Gabrielle Union.  that'd mess him up more.  I think I see the line of volunteers forming already.

Worse is that I think Wade actually hurts people less often than he tries to.

Go back and watch that Rondo-elbow game. Wade was reckless on a couple dangerous plays earlier in the game. And if I recall correctly wasn't called for fouls on some of them.

I remember thinking that he was trying to be the enforcer of the team, but he didn't really know how to be an enforcer. So he was just going to hurt someone. Then he did. I was furious not only that it happened but that I saw it coming and no one did anything about it.

Since then Wade has been my least favorite nba player. I never even disliked Lebron because I think a lot of the hate toward him is just as artificial and manufactured as the image/brand consciousness that people hold against him. But wade merits the animosity with his actions on the court, in my opinion.

At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

I would totally be in favor of it.  I found his play on Thomas shocking and dirty and was very surprised there was no one else thought so (or expressed it) at the time.

Really, when you can you think of another player launching himself at another player who is going to the rim and leveling him like he's playing defensive back?  I can't think of seeing such a dangerous play besides obviously like the Rambis clothesline.

play was rougher in the 80's (and better).  fouls were fouls.  now it's too many guys afraid to make a hard foul to prevent a bucket or to send a message to keep players from driving the paint.  it's like they're all worried about keeping their camera facetime and endorsement opportunities than playing competitive basketball.

What Wade did was dangerous and I'm not in favor of it.  There were good things about how basketball used to be played but if this was "old school" I'm not in favor of it.  Guy landed on his back from an awful angle and it could have been a severe injury.

I know I'm arguing for retaliation here but only because the league does nothing to prevent Wade from acting like this.
