1. Draft.
If possible trade up for a slider Chad Ford thinks S Johnson could slip to 10-12.
If not use the #15 to reach on Potential. I like Jakob Poeltl if he declares, at #22 BPA I      would make an effort and move up if needed to get Harrell. Poeltl will be a long term project Harrell will contribute as a rookie.

2. Trade,
Im not sure the target but I would look to move Sully and Turner to upgrade the SF. Maybe W Chandler type player.

3. Sign
Monroe to a short term deal that will intice him with a bigger future pay out. He is still young and his offense seems like a nice fit with BS. Drafting Harrell makes sense on a roster with KO and Monroe. Monroe and KO would both play around 30mpg with Zeller and Harrell get around 18mpg.

These moves along with resigning Crowder.

2015-2016

PG Smart
SG AB
SF Chandler (or better idea)
PF Monroe
C  Zeller
6th IT4
7th KO
8th Crowder
9th Harrell
10th Young
Mavs
Wiz
Hornet

3. Overpay for Tobias Harris.

Yeah, I've been thinking about Harris - and Khris Middleton. Magic and Bucks want to keep them. So we have to overpay. That would be sad.
It's nice seeing him get exposed as overrated after having argued with fellow fans for years that he was overrated.. but I don't hate him. I'm looking forward to seeing him [...] bounce around to a couple more teams... eventually come back to Boston[...] and helps us as a role player until he runs himself out of the league.

I think another trade target could be Kenneth Faried.

It seems like everyone on that Nuggets team is available and I think Faried would be a great pick up.

Great rebounder, great energy.

As mentioned, Greg Monroe could also be a great target as well.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I'd call it a best case scenario if we get a rim protector.

It seems like with all the assets we have, we can maneuver into whatever scenario, in any direction. But once we get a guy who can protect the rim and be a defensive presence inside, that's a big leap.

Either via draft, trade or signing, we need one of that.
2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

How fantastical can I get here?  Because mine would start with Pop retiring and telling Kawhi that he should join the Celtics as Stevens is his spiritual successor and end with the Clippers missing the playoffs after losing every game for the rest of the season here on out and giving us the #1 pick.

Willie Cauley-Stein should be our target. Trade Sully or picks to get him. A SF can be had as a FA. Rim Protector that Play D like him don't come easy.

I'm going to do one that's a little more realistic.

1)Swap Olynk for Harrison Barnes
2)move Bradley, the Clips pic, and Phillys second for Suns fist and draft Cauley-Stein
3)Move up a few spots with our pick and either Minny's pick or a protected Nets to pick up Mario

4) optional, hire a extra personal trainer for Sully, mma star weight cutting guru Mike Dolce.

Magic fans hate his defense, they think he's not getting paid in Orlando.

Remember when Evan Turner went nuts in that 4th quarter? Yep, that was the Magic trying to guard him with Tobias Harris. Harris has been productive but looks like he has no position defensively.

I like HB's game a lot, but I don't know if GSW would trade him with us.

Well I'm letting Crowder, Jerekbo, Gigi, Bass all walk so drafting Portis (15), Looney (24), Harrell (33), Layman with last second.

Sign Big AL. 4 years 10 million per.

Smart/IT/Pressey
AB/Young
Turner/Wallace/Looney/Layman
Sully/KO/Portis
Al/Zeller/Harrell

1. With :05 remaining in the last game of the season and a spot in the playoffs on the line after a thrilling race to game 82, with the Celts down 1 Marcus Smart is clearly fouled taking a three pointer but the refs don't call it. The C's miss the playoffs.

2. The Celtics leapfrog everyone else to snag the #1 pick, in the process bumping LA from #5 to #6 meaning that LAL send their pick to Phoenix.

3. C's end up with Okafor. Knicks draft Mudiay who then signs a 10-year contract with his Chinese team and says he's never playing in the NBA. Lakers get nothing. The Celts reel off 8 consecutive championships from 2019-2026. NBA conspiracy theorists go bananas.

1. Trade for Cousins on draft night
2. Sign Love in free agency
3. I don't need a 3rd step because the first two are crazy enough.

Haha I was just going to post this.  Fireworks this summer!

If this were to ever happen I would be fine with Turner as the starting SF for now.  Maybe down the line we could trade for someone like Paul George or Leonard.
