Not sure about 8 seed now... Indy isn't looking good, and they have a much more favorable remaining schedule than us, imo. Sucks, man. At least Smart will be back after 1 game. Desperately need IT, and some upsets down the stretch. Hopefully CLE rests that last week or two, but I am doubting it by the way Blatt & LeBron are talking.

#7 at most.  if there was another 10-15 games in the year with the way they're playing I'd say there's a fair chance of catching the Bucks but with about 16 games to go, 3 games can be difficult ground to make up.

I don't think Bucks are hard to catch, Miami will probably take 6 now, we have to look at 7/8. 7/8 will be a fight between at least 3 teams and that us, bucks, and Indiana.

I'll be happy with 8th and it has nothing to do with who we play. I'll take the playoffs and the better pick. I know it really doesn't make too much difference from 15-17 but I gotta believe if you want to move to top 10 it is easier to go 5 spots than 7.

Bring on any team, including the Cavs!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

TP for optimism. Indy and Charlotte are right there too, though. If Charlotte beats Indy, that'd be even more of a problem :/ I want them to make it so frieken bad, too.

It's really aggravating the timing of this Thomas injury, compounded that initially it was believed to only keep him down for a couple of games.

FWIW, Jerebko has predicted a win tomorrow via twitter. The guy actually interacts with his followers.

Yea, I said "at least 3 teams" bc I couldn't remember how close teams like Cha and BKN are. This is going to be tough but we can do it!

As a fan, I want us to fight our way to a deep run. I don't have time for being realistic!

and will bounce either the struggling Raptors or Bulls in round one..

or even Wizards for that matter..

Please no.

I would love us play against the Hawks.

If we give the top seed fits 4-2, or 4-3, it'll at least make us look more enticing to free agents.

I honestly think our team matches up well with Hawks, in terms of the Hawks missing a lot of their rotational big men on the bench, and the fact they lack a go to guy or superstar that can really score whenever he want.

They have Teague and horford who are not superstars but can score when they want against us
Smart matches well with Teague
But horford should be able to score easily against our team without a rim protector

I have a feeling IT will be back tomorrow. Would've been nice to have Smart though to D up Jackson. Inadvertent or not, Smart will learn his lesson having to see his team play without him.

I think an 6th seed is wishful thinking but the 7th is possible. Hell, I'll be happy with the 8th. The Celtics remaining schedule isn't THAT bad. I've been studying it for a couple weeks. Yeah, we play some above .500 teams but I'm betting that they're more willing to rest players than the sub .500 teams the Pacers may be playing. I'd rather face a high seeded team before the end of the season knowing that they could rest players than a team out of the playoffs with nothing to lose.
Long-form is far from dead, but please refrain from paragraph-laden posts! Who wants to read that?!

Nets catching up , beat Pacers...which helps ...Hornets lost again to Kings minus Cousins...lots of good news. ;D

Need for OKC to beat the dirty heaters tomorrow

Need Cavs to hand Kidd another loss.

This would go along way to helping our cause....if we can get IT back and win a couple games

The other good thing about the east sucking (the first being it is easier to get in) is once you are in, you might very well get an easy matchup. Wouldn't surprise me if anyone other than that Cavs got upset in round one.

1. Get in
2. Get hot
3. Steal a series

Not saying it is likely, but most would have said the playoffs were very unlikely at various points in the last year. IF IF If we can get in and do well, that has got to make us look good to free agents.
