Hey. We already be the Hawks once, I'm not sure if it's going to be a shock if we beat them in a seties. ;D

On a serious note, I firmly believe we will be the toughest 8 seed to play out of the teams that are playing for that spot. We have shown how tough we are to beat if we'Dr at our best.

whoever said we don't play the hawks tough is ignoring our matchups with them this year. Obviously we beat them once, and a second game we started the 4th quarter with a 5 point lead and it was a two point game with 20 seconds remaining and our ball.

We did lose one to them was never a good game at 14 points. However, they have lost 14 games all season and the only team they have lost to twice is Toronto.

You could make a really reasonable argument that no team besides Toronto has played them as tough as the Celtics.

Now this doesn't really mean anything if we play them in the playoffs and they have superior talent, probably an extra gear we don't have etc. However, lets stop the nonsense that we haven't played them will this year cause we have.

To be fair, I'd rather watch that then the C's losing in six, too.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

If the Celtics upset the Hawks in the first round I'll get Evan Turner's signature tattoo'd on my inner thigh.

Get the tattoo on your neck so it can be verified

It mystifies me the way you want this team to become relevant again. Just overnight become a #1 team pulling another miracle 2007-2008 offseason or racking up #1 picks

Because the neck is the only place anyone can ever verify some ink.  :P

I want the team to become relevant by being good. I don't particularly care how they do it.

The team will. Just be a little patient

The team is already better than last seasons version

Keeping it brief:

We match up REALLY well with ATL. I know they have a better record, but we play them tough, because we play the same style, and they do not have that 1 go to scorer that puts the fear into us.

I do not like out chances against CLE, just too much talent.

But calling it now, IF we make the playoffs, and face ATL in the 1st round, calling the UPSET right now!

Teague vs Smart
Korver vs Bradley
Carroll vs Crowder/ET
Millsap vs Bass
Horford vs. Zeller

#bleedgreen
So Atlanta is vastly superior in pretty much every position. I guess that makes it an upset if it happens.

You must have some serious superiority complex going on.

Seriously, look at your post history.

Nothing but sarcasm, snark, and low-key belittling.

Hawks are the least threatening #1 seed I've seen in a long, long time.  I agree with the concept in general.  Paul George may be returning by the playoffs.  If Atlanta matches up vs Indiana in round 1, that could be interesting.

Boston has played well recently, but I'm not sure if it's sustainable yet.
