I read this blog and the 'experts' do not believe in this team. They think the team is overachieving. There is no such thing. All you can do in sports is play.

This team is real, and they will cause a lot of teams to either play or be beaten. No coasting along when you play this team.

The experts, mostly ex players and script reading reporters, do not now or ever have had  any idea ,of how to  build a winning team. All they seem to be able to talk about ,are individual stats. I watched the Celtic dynasty teams, win game after game against teams, that had all the stats in their favor. What these people do not understand ,is the team concept of winning. The Patriots are another example of this. This current Celtic team appears to have figured this concept out. Like the great Celtic teams of the past,you see different players rising up each night. This is a credit to the coach using mismatches on defense and offense. This team ,since Feb 1, has gone 13/7 .650 . In this time frame they have beaten NO, Phx,Charlotte,Denver,Miami,Memphis and Ind.
They los to LAC in OT,GS by 5 . This does not appear to be a fluke to me. Go Celtics

I don't think this team is overachieving. I don't think overachieving is a real thing. It is just (in the case of sports) playing at your best, individually and in team play. I think they are achieving at their maximum potential. Which is, with better seeding, a second round playoff team in the east, and a barely miss the playoffs type team in the west.

Overachieving within the realm of a quarter for specific players can exist (like JJ last week or the week before).

In the context of what this team has done in the last two months since settling from all the roster turnover? Overachieving just becomes a copout term for 'we were wrong.'  I agree with the poster you quoted in this context.

This team is over achieving and CBS is the reason.  He has them playing hard most nights and above their talent level.   It is as someone put a team of misfit toys without defined positions but the guys show up, play hard and are fun to watch.   I love watching a team grow and it has been fun once Ainge sent off Green, Rondo and Sully got hurt.

Sure. But I think they will be smashed by LeBron in the ECF. And they have Horford. I'd kill to have one player as good as Horford..

The Hawks are fun.  I'd love to see them knock off the Cavs in the Eastern conference playoffs this season.  They've undeniably got some good talent down there, but they don't have anyone who can be called a bona fide superstar.
