Are you? To who? What team out there is going to give up a first round pick for a ball stopping, poor shooting, mediocre defensive player who doesn't finish well around the rim?

He was traded recently for 2nd round picks and I cnat imagine his value has increased since then.

His value has increased since the 6ers traded him just by virtue of no longer being an expiring, and being paid nearly $2 million less than last year (more if you count the trade kicker he had)

Has his value improved to that of a first round pick? No, but some team could decide to make a really stupid move

This is often the case with non-rookie scale contract players. I think teams put a lot of stock into their scouting and they are going to be the ones to get the next great steal of the draft. Guys like Turner, Bass, Brandan Wright, etc are easily better than most 25-30 picks, but you already know what you have in those guys where you still have a 'chance' to get somebody special with your pick.

There is also the whole rookie scale contract pay which is cheaper than mid-range veterans.

I'd be happy with a mid to low first round pick just to get him off the books. I'd probably give up one too, if someone would just take him.

I would take a 3rd round pick for him, he is the definition of Losing Basketball. The guy is definitely a NBA player, but his ceiling is being the main scoring option on a bench full of  3 and d guys.

But honestly I just want him off the team, I'm really tired of watching him play basketball, nothing against the guy, he's just an annoying basketball player. I'd hope I speak for most of CelticsBlog.

If he were getting big money, I would try to convert him into a first round pick... but he's relatively cheap.
