I'm surprised that the Celtics aren't developing their own arena. It seems like a team with it's history would have built an eloquent place to call home. The TD garden is one of the least eloquent, least high tech, least aesthetically pleasing arenas in the NBA. It's a shame that a team with our prestige doesn't even own their own arena(the Bruins own  TD Garden). The Barclays Center, Madison Square garden, and the new Warriors arena are the NBA's flagship arenas. The Celtics being the most accomplished  team in the NBA and should own a flagship arena of their own. If  Yankees Stadium was like Tropicana Field that would be very sad. At the very least the most accomplished team in the NBA should own their own stadium. The addition of the Barclays Center has been a boon to Brooklyn's Economy http://m.nydailynews.com/new-york/brooklyn/barclays-1-year-article-1.1460150#bmb=1 . The Warriors are making a multi purpose arena that will also be a major commerce center in San Fransico. http://www.nba.com/warriors/news/updated-design-mission-bay-sports-entertainment-center-20141210

An arena in the Innovation district would be nice. We should have a stadium the reflects the technological and scientific innovation that's coming out of Boston.

What's your deal with this man? You started two threads justtttt like this one yesterday.

Do you own some nice land somewhere around Boston and you thought a new arena would be perfect for it or something? Your really pushing hard to get some conversation going.

The Celtics should stay playing where they always have. Above North Station. If anything they need to fix up the area around the Garden. Not replace it. And I've never understood the thought behind seperate NBA and NHL arenas. If your building a state of the art arena it's gonna have to be convertible to hockey anyway because an arena owner wants to be able to book hockey tournaments and championship games for the money they bring. If it's gonna be able to be a hockey rink anyway, why do the B's and C's need different arenas ?

Dunno.  The Celtics and Bruins have been sharing the same venue for a long time.  It would actually be a break from tradition for the Celtics to move out.  As far as I know, if the Celtics ever decided to go their separate ways, all they would have to do is bring the garden parquet floor, banners, and trophies with them.

Tradition is important but I wouldn't put sharing an arena with the Bruins as a hallmark of our legacy.
