no, talking about closing out a game.  starting only matters to him.  he's a bench guy all day long.
Has he mentioned that starting matters to him? Cuz it would be news to me.

Exactly pretty sure he's actually said the opposite... that closing matters more. How anyone can hate Thomas of all players on this team is mindboggling... sure he isn't a superstar but he's a player I could see on a championship team, more than you can say for almost everyone else on this roster

He has been putting up superstar stats since joining the Celtics.

He does fit really well in this system. Hope it continues, don't see it stopping

Not since he has been a Celtic.....I don't know why it s an issue
basing it on the very article posted by our own Jeff Clark on the home page on 3/6.

IT is drinking the koolade for now but he wants to start because he see himself as a starter.

He's good enough to be a starter... but he's also said plenty of times "I'll do what coach asks." Players are already saying they look to him as the leader... he's our best player by far and he's carried this team to almost every win they've had since we've acquired him.

He IS the system right now. What is happening is that Brad S hasn't managed to mess it up too badly yet (not for lack of trying, though).

I don't care if he starts or not.  If it's a close game late, I want him on the floor. IT makes things happen.

Against better defense, those things would be called turnovers.

LOL....I don't agree but I have to give you credit for that one.  TP for you.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

can thomas stop hogging the ball when players are wide open..and he keeps passing the ball in the air >:(
yeah, I'm not seeing him as the type of PG I want on the floor at the end of a game if I have a playoff team

You're joking right? He's a huge reason we've been winning games including on the path to winning this one

Fools gold.

Reminiscent of a young, selfish Nate Robinson: looks good playing minutes on crap teams.

You think a diminutive PG/ball hog like that wouldn't be stopped quick by either a decent team or any team in a playoff series?

It's just a sideshow, folks, but we need one this year.

I think IT is better than what you are giving him credit for.  He's a lot better offensively than Nate. That's a joke.

Better passer than Nate, but not a much more willing one.

He and that kind contract are just waiting to fill out a trade, and that's it.

He's not a 6th man on a contender, no way.

Personally I think you are insane, but you are entitled to your opinion.  I don't know of any team that wouldn't want IT coming off the bench.  He is instant offense.

6th man, 7th man, the guy's a weapon.

Some fans like traditional point guards, I do too, as long as they can hit free throws, and play D.

Heck, the Celtics, a playoff contender, wanted NATE ROBINSON off the bench.

I hope IT is not hurt

We need him desperately against Memphis.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

ugh too bad we blew it against the Magic almost had a 3-0 road trip... if you said we'd go 2-1 and the one loss would be the Magic I'd have laughed

the DIRTY Miami cHeat once again...Whiteside plows Olynyk in the back...and earlier, Walker did the SAME thing to Zeller---into the Basket Support....Scal was asking why Zeller ended up there.....BOTH of these Jerks should be suspended.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Maybe now the guy who is groaning that we missed signing Whiteside will can it and we can move on with our lives.

Some people will just ALWAYS be miserable LMBO...Instead of being grateful that we at least have an entertaining group of guys that play hard and seem to like and respect each other, here you come with your underwhelming opinion and try to make it feel like it ain't right unless you urinate in the kool aid! I hear the Sixers are looking for some new fans. Here, I'll make it easy for you  http://www.nba.com/sixers
