Offense really needs to give the D some rest.

I've always felt Bolden is underrated and pretty decent

I like him too -- but not as the primary back.  Very nice run on first!

Yay!   Defense really has come up big tonight.

No more injuries!

Brady is doing stuff with his legs this year that he hasn't done in a decade

And the Pats still haven't lost 3 games in a row since 2002. Is there another coach that can say stuff like that? Another player? Another team?

Two things about yesterday:

1. If dragging your toe without ever putting the heel down is enough for a catch, why does it matter that your heel is out of bounds if the toes were in first? Did they rule he didn't have possession until the heel was down?

2. What the heck happened on that flag they threw on the Texans for a face mask (at least that's what it looked like) down the Patriots' left sideline in the second half? Clearly saw the flag, but there was no announcement and no penalty.
"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

I had SportsHub on during my drive to lunch... So in case anyone cared, if you go toe-heel or heel-toe and it is a "normal looking" step, then your entire foot has to be inbound. If you're making a "deliberate toe drag or otherwise making an move that's not natural to your stride", toes are enough. No kidding, this is apparently described (as close as I can remember the audio) in Blandino's own words from 2013. This must be the dumbest part of the catch rule that I've heard, and there's plenty of dumb there to go around. Wow.

The catch rules are absurd.  They've totally overthought the rules there.  Overcomplicated for themseleves.

So let me get this straight, correct me if I'm wrong.

Some pertinent injury news;

-Easley to IR

-McCourty most likely out until playoffs with high ankle sprain

-Blount on crutches (hip).  Return uncertain and it sounds like they just brought in Montee Ball to practice squad at the very least.

-Stork with a minor ankle injury
