Doesn't really matter if that's a touchdown, because the Giants are gonna end up scoring anyway. And what the heck is it with the Giants? Why do the Pats struggle so much against them?

Actually, if I was a Giants fan, I'd be pretty upset that they don't play this good more often.

As as Giants fan I can tell you they do play this good just about every single week. But you are about to see why they lose games.

And not at all to rub it in today—because the Giants still have those two SB wins over NE—but what you just experienced with that dropped INT and Gostkowski kick is pretty much what Pats fans felt in both of those Super Bowls.

I'll say, that Butler guy is a better CB than I thought. I never watch the Pats, so I just kind of assumed he was just a guy that got lucky on one famous play to win a SB. He did just about as good a job today on Beckham as I have seen anybody do.

He probably saved the game for the Pats.

Maybe we could have done it with a makeshift OL, but you can't do it with three healthy receivers, one of which is Aaron Dobson.

Yeah, they managed the win, which is more than I expected.  The Pats just seem to find a way.

But if Edelman is done ... man.  I agree, forget it.  The league is completely flawed this year.  The Panthers might be the best team out there, for Pete's sake.  Regardless, you're not winning a Super Bowl with LaFell, Amendola, and Dobson are your receivers.  Not even with Gronkowski leading the way.

My takeaways from the game:

1. Some OLs need to start coming back. Fast.

2. What the heck was a ST corner doing on the field on the last drive of the game?

3. Not having Lewis affects you a lot more than most pundits thought (but just as much as I expected).

4. Edelman looked like he was done for the season.

5. This is the most cooked undefeated team I've seen since the 2015 Broncos were undefeated.

Let's keep in mind that even without Edelman, they were still missing their best defensive player and 2-3 starters on the offensive line. All of those guys will be back. Had they played today, the Pats likely win by 2 TDs.

I guess I agree that it's unlikely, but they are 9-0 and will be competetive with DA, Gronk LaFell, Dobson and White/Bolden/Blount.  They still could take the top seed. Then who comes to Foxboro and beats them?

The defense was (kind of) fine even without Collins. But we need some tackles back. Stork has got to move back to the inside.
