On Twitter there's some talk that Dion Lewis tore his ACL.

Hopefully it's not that bad.

How many injuries can the Patriots sustain and still keep going?  They've already lost half their offensive line.

They do have some depth at RB with Bolden and White.

White's their backup pass-catching RB, but I don't think he's anywhere near as dynamic as Lewis. If it's a torn ACL, that's a big blow to their title hopes.

Can they diagnose a torn ACL without an x-ray?  You know that info isn't coming from the Patriots -- so wait and see.  If he's out, that's a big disappointment -- Lewis has been a great story this year.

White may not be too big a drop off in talent.

Rondo was participating at the shoot around the next game before he even went to the hospital.  And Logan Mankins continued to play several games.  Just to tell you the varying degrees of mobility post ACL tear.

Pats having major injury issues on the O-line.  They're gonna have to go to the scrap heap this week and find some warm bodies.   Not Brady's best day and I think protection had something to do with it although the running game looked great.

The Lewis injury certainly hurts.  It didn't look good at all.  I'd actually be more surprised if he DIDN'T tear something.

Defense continues to play at a high level even without Collins today.  They've really been the unsung heroes this season.

Done for the season. Pats are soon going to be having open tryouts.

My 6-year old is gonna be crushed. No idea how to break it to him.

They will do fine with Bolden, White, and Blount. Bolden isn't nearly as shifty as Lewis, but he filled in fine when Vereen was out.

There's little margin for error, though. Wonder whether they'll consider bringing back Cadet -- he seems to still be unsigned.

Well it was against the Bulls in the playoffs, my mistake, but he did manage to play another 3 minutes with a torn acl:

He played 3 minutes with a torn ACL," Rivers said. "That says so much about Leon Powe the person."

They'll survive without Lewis, though he was doing a great job as a Kevin Faulk clone.

The OLine is a much bigger problem for the rest of the year. A practice squad player at LOT and a TE at ROT is a recipe for disaster.

Bummer to hear about Dion.  I really enjoyed watching that guy play.

The good news is that the Pats still have Blount and Bolden so their running game should be fine, so long as they have the lead.  James White will have a chance to step up, too.

Also, they've got LaFell back now, so that will help soften the blow to the passing game, which was where Dion made the biggest impact.  Amendola and Scott Chandler will probably see more targets, too.

Bottom line, the team still has plenty of weapons for Brady.  My biggest concern is the offensive line.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I agree that the O-line is the bigger concern, but I think things will be ok. Stork is back now and Vollmer and Cannon should both be back. So we'll probably end up with a line of Vollmer, Stork, Andrews, Mason, and Cannon, which is still pretty good.
