Van Exel was taller but they are both lefties and i see a lot of similarities. Is this a good comparison? If so, we have ourselves a player because Van Exel was awesome back in the day.

Lefty and quick release similarities but thats it

IT imo is more like a lefty version of Iverson. Can score from anywhere on the court. Also has the ability to get to the line several times in a game. Pesky defender

We got oursleves a steal here.

Loved Nick the Quick. I think Van Exel was better but I see the comparison a bit.

As for AI, wrong Answer, please don't insult Allen Iverson with that comparison.

How am i insulting AI?

If anything IT is a better and more willing passing pg.

AI would get double teamed and he would still try to score on his own

Van Exel is a good comp.  Van Exel was a little more reliant on his jump shot and consequently didn't draw free throws as well as IT.  I enjoyed how he shot his free throws from a foot and a half behind the FT line.  Maybe DeAndre Jordan should give it a try.   :D

Iverson was a once-in-a-generation talent, whether you liked his flopping or not.  Iverson had a season where he averaged 33 points, 7 assists, 2 steals and 11.5 FTA's.

And before anyone jumps all over this, note that Boykins enjoyed a 14-year career in the league.

I think Thomas' basement should be right around Boykins' best years in Denver and Milwaukee: 14 points and 5 assists a game, with shooting percentages around 42%/90%/38%. Thomas should be able to produce above those numbers (although perhaps not as efficiently).

Wow. Was he really in the league 14 years?

I was thinking Spud Webb with a better shot and less hang time.

I second that. Thomas is a nice pickup but let's not go overboard here.   ::)

Iverson is to Isaiah Thomas what  Michael Jackson is to Justin Beiber

I suppose you can throw out his first two and his final year, and he only appeared in 10 games in his fourth season:

Still, he was in the league that whole time, save for an Italian sabbatical in 2008-09.
